Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

if Liverpool were to lose this weekend and Rafa gets the exit. Then i think Dalglish or Mourinho will be a good choice.

Graeme Souness??? Graeme Souness??? Hahahaha. How can a true Liverpool fans forget this guy. He is damn thick skin, still dare to make such comment and attacked Rafa mangement. Credited with bringing down Liverpool dominace in English soccer, can anyone take this guy comment seriously? Not for me, I always press my tv control mute button whenever he open his mouth.

1)Agger
2) Riena
3)Benayoun
4)Luis Garcia
5)Skrtel

OK my five picks for Rafa under 10mil great buys, Mr. Hansen

Rafa have the same match winning percentage as Bob Paisely and more than the legendary Shankly and I find it amused that people is calling for his head now. During the six seasons Rafa is with us, I didn't recalled Wenger have won anything with Arsenal. Why he isn't getting the same amount of sticks as Rafa? He is pretty untouchable at Arsenal.

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

Bro,

wif due respect where is the "speculation"?...

it is a fact that Benitez has spent 229m pounds on 76 players, too many of them mediocre/duds like Degen, Lucas, Dossena,Plessis, Sissoko, Morientes, Gonzalez, Voronin(well he was a freebie but still hv to pay his wages) etc...sold Bellamy, Crouch and Keane and released Hyppia leaving the Reds far weaker in both experience and leadership...

it is a fact that Benitez has made a serious transfer miscalculation this season...by buying GJ (although he is a good attacking wingback albeit a poor defender n not cheap) when it is clear that another quality striker was needed instead...also why buy an injured midfield player for a position required to be filled at the start of the season?...

it is a fact that Gerrad wld hv been the simple yet effective option of being played in midfield to cover Alonso's departure until Acquilani is fit...but no Benitez stubbornly sticks to fielding the limited Lucas who lacks even an ounce of creativity...

it is a fact that Benitez's handling of Babel has been awful...this a player he paid 11m pounds for...when not being played out of position, Babel is benched while his confidence is drained away, Lucas on the other hand has played in every one of the Reds' six defeats...in fact Benitez appeared to do the samething to Cisse when he was wif the Reds...

it is a fact that Benitez has had 5 seasons, regardless of the issues wif the Moore, Parry n the yanks...and the Reds look no where close to landing the EPL...heck they now even appear to be in danger of not securing a CL spot which shall spell even more doom n gloom in more ways than one...last season was probably Liverpool's best chance in along while to land the EPL n i blame Benitez's cautious scared to lose tactics in the first half of that season for the Reds failure to go all the way...the moment the Reds were allowed to play attacking football things changed...

sorry but Benitez appears to also be a structural/systemic problem apart fm the yanks...so both hv to go...the Reds need an entire new make up overhaul...both owner and manager...however i also think Benitez sld be allowed to stay on until at least the next transfer window for continuity and stability reasons...

Of course not. Half cooked journalists (and blinkered ex-players) can spin their own yarns and bring them out when the team is struggling. How convenient.

Of course you may still hold on to the same line. The problem with the Rafa regime is how it has divided the fans and ex-players. I'm fine with it. I'll just let the manager do his job the best he can.

not in the long run...provided of course Reds get someone of the calibre of Guus Hiddink/Mourhino n the yanks also sell up and the new owner(s) hv big deep pockets and Liverpool's best interests at heart, not just looking for a big personal profit...

i live in hope...

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

Bro,

i suggest u look at the substance of what is being said first instead of automatically discounting the opinion because of yr personal bias agst the individual...look i am no big fan of Souey as a manager (i was a big fan of his when he was the Reds monster masher though)...n agree he was bloody awful as Reds manager...but on this one i think Souey is right...the facts speak for themselves...

as for yr egs...well Agger n Skretl r both still question marks...as for king Luis if he was so good why did Benitez eventually sell him?...

finally as for yr stats...both Shanks n Paisely brought THE title back to anfield on numerous occasions...Benitez?...if not for Istanbul 05', Rafa wld probably hv been booted out of anfield by now...and i don't care abt how other clubs deal wif their managers, so to me reference to Arsene is pointless...all i care abt is LiverpoolFC and to see it successful over the long term...

Very simple, the players are not dogs like you suggest. Clearly some of them left because they wanted to, yet you blame Rafa for letting them go.

This ain't championship manager.

It's ok, we all know you have no confidence in Rafa no matter what.

I know our team needs us now.

supporting the Reds is a given to me...i hv been a Reds supporter since 74' so i hv seen n felt everything fm the v highs of Rome77...to the v lows of Heysel n Hillsborough...to the agony of Thomas' goal in 89' (i actually had the misery of watching the game live @ Anfield n cried buckets of tears at the end as i was living in the UK at the time)...to the wilderness yrs in the 90s...the high of Houllier's treble n the v high once again in Istanbul...even if the Reds were relegated to the lower leagues(god forbid) i wld still be a Reds supporter...

but i call it like i see it...and both Rafa and the yanks hv to go before the Reds can eventually move on n up...LiverpoolFC badly need a new owner wif $$$ n a new manager of the calibre of Hiddink/Mourhino/Ferguson/Capello...

I remember Ferguson takes seven years to win his first league title and as for Mourhino and Capello, if they were so good why did they got the sack?

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

i suppose its disappointing how the season started as many fans were expecting liverpool to win or challange for the epl after the strong ending to the last season. if there were any hopes left after the first dismal game against tottenham, it has been dashed by the defeat to sunderland. now even i am doubtful if they can finish fourth or better.

it is indeed dreadful seeing how the last few games have been turing out. if liverpool were unlucky its okay, but now the quality and style is simply not there. even tottenham, sunderland , man city are playing more attractive soccer than us.

i feel that only a total overhaul of the whole liverpool system/admin is required. the hicks/gillette duo must be bought out by some rich tycoon or business and money must be made available and freely to the manager.

the team need at least a few world class internations sitting on the reserves bench and not some rookies like ngogg n spearing. i m not sure why suddenly the squad seems to be so small as i thought that we had some pretty good newbies like plessis , azhar and babbel . carrahger is also playing the worst games of his life but unfortunately there is no able replacement. aggar n skertel are also not playing well. what the heck, the whole team is playing badly.

for a long time, i have not been this pessimistic about our game against man u. but i am preparing myself for a defeat tonight ..

Agreed bro.

I said before if we hit rock bottom (out of CL spot, fail to qualify for CL knockout phase), we have a chance to get the most inept American owners out.

Some good news, the Spirit of Shankly is preparing a mass protest march to Anfield ahead of the scum game.

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

LOL...somehow i had a feeling someone was going to mention this fact!...so u actually think another season for Rafa is going to make the difference?...sorry but to me the facts on the pitch speak for themselves...as for Mourhino n Capello they both appeared to get the sack because of personality issues wif their respective managements...their respective pedigree as player motivators is beyond a doubt...n that equally applies to Ferguson n Hiddink...it is in this area (apart fm spotting mediocre duds) that Rafa clearly loses out to these other chaps...man they way things r going i wld not even mind giving Martin O'Neill a go...i doubt it can get any worse than what is happening presently...

btw back to yr under 10m pound egs...i am a fair reasonable person n wld say that on balance Reira is one of Rafa's rare good buys...Insua also looks quite promising...so does Pacheco, in fact Rafa might as well throw him into the deep end now, probably could not do any worse than N'Gog n Voronin...

oh n let me also say that i shall as usual be passionately rooting for the Reds @ my usual watering hole tomorrow night...however even if the Reds do win(which i really hope they do)...i still maintain that for long term success Rafa has to go together wif the yanks...

I was at a temple in Old Tampines this morning and out of boredom went to consult the astrologer monk for some fortune telling ........ instead of asking for the usual reading I asked about the Yankees ...... guess wat?

Their Ba Zi clashes with that of LFC !! ....... the monk predicted that as long as both of them are associated with LFC....... Liverpool will forever be in turmoil

Come to think about it........ ever since the Yankees came onboard the Liverpool ship....... LFC has never won anything but always embroiled in crisis after crisis
