bro , juz share sumthing with u here, some food for thot, not trying to change ur outlook or anything..juz sharing aloud....this is an old poem, u may hv come across before:
Love seeketh not itself to please,
Nor for itself hath any care,
But for another gives its ease,
And builds a heaven in hell's despair.
So sang a little clod of clay,
Trodden with the cattle's feet,
But a pebble of the brook,
Warbled out these metres meet.
Love seeketh only self to please,
To bind another to its delight,
Joys in another's loss of ease,
And builds a hell in heaven's despite.

makes me want to quote macbeth to express how i m feeling now but dont want to do it cos i m afraid i might not be able to remember it all correctly. yr "little" poem will do for now. would have upped yr points if i hadnt wasted it on bro tsingtao, who promptly got zapped again! thanks very much again for that effort.

bro, dh lawrence was incestuous, frowned upon even in sbf lor... but really impressed that u can remember. u literature teacher ah?
u mean,
tyger, tyger burning bright,
in the forest of the night.
what immortal hand or eye,
could frame thy fearful symmetry?
that's all i can remember. hahaha...
his songs of experience was very dark and bleak. think he was already damn pissed when he was writing songs of innocence. could feel a little anger already. frankly, it is very apt that u brought blake up. he was living in a world whereby everything was changing due to industrialisation. like us now, the world is changing. i really baulked at what women r actually up to nowadays!!! makes me feel whether it is sane to hold out for a good woman to marry or just get married for the sake of procreation for the next generation.
ps. i m no saint either. just waiting for the right one to come along to inspire me to give up all my vices.

his novels r not, but dh lawrence in real life was.
wanted to go into the teaching profession, e lit and pe but was persuaded otherwise by my parents. i m much better off now financially, but then at what price?
u might be right that the right one might not be from this tiny red dot. that would be limiting our options, wouldnt it? that's why i m trying to persuade bro derelict (the bro who knew it was blake too) to intro some of his jap lady friends to me... havent u found yr better half already?
