After going to shanghai for just a week, I can't claim to be an expert but my experiences so far shows that the 11 pm rule does not apply in 4 to 5 star hotels.

I had 3 experiences that my girl came to the hotel after 12 midnight and still no problem.

Something to share with you guys, the rules here is very similar to SAF " You can do anything you like, but just dun get caught".

Most of the hanky panku stuffs in China are ban, but yet you can see them happening every where (like hair saloon for HJ, you can see it every where in SHA). most of the things in China are better left "unofficial" just think about it, "officially" there are no pros in china, but what can we see here?. so at time things are best being left unspoken of. Dun get too "official". And the truth is nobody will really care about what you are doing, just dun attract attention. This is what I have learn during my stay here.

Just be careful, but not over-cautions or you will miss the fun. I think being grow up in singapore have already make us "too careful" what ever things that are not mentions, we do not dare to do it. But yet our heart told us to try it. In the end we spend too much time thinking about can or cannot? want or dun wanna?

I totally agree with you, I only go to Ex place with my Boss, not on myself.
the gal I got the FOC are from Hei long jiang and He nan. SHA gals confirm cannot, they will squeez you dry even before you try to squeez them. I had a bad experience, but lucky only treat her to makan, after makan she start asking me to buy handphone, buy that...and I know what they are up to. SHA gals I would not even want to grade them.
But have anyone heard of a place in hong qiao lu, where you can book a gal to have dinner with you, and after dinner you can take her back for RMB400(short time), the dinner cost less than RMB100. I have not been there, but my fren told me he had been there once. the gals are from Sze chuan. anyone heard about it?

I used to visit this six storey KTV called "Jin Se Yang Kuan" (Golden Sunlight) in no. 88,Hung Ku lu. They got between 600 to 800 gals, depending on the days. Less on weekends.

It's quite a nics place with rooms on different floor @ different price depending on the room decor.

A ktv room on the 2nd & 3rd floor which has the standard room good four to five couples charges RMB680 with two free bottles of red wine, those on the 4 & 5 level which has better decor charges RMB800.

The gals tips are standard @300rmb and 1000rmb for overnight.

I have brought many overseas guests (from multi-national companies)to this KTV and have not received a single complain.

Ming men (along Nan jing xi lu, shi meng yi lu) is another "nice" place to go to, the gals are all dress in black, the place look very class. But just that its a bit ex. the biggest room(6 guys) can charge up to RMB2K, for the small room of 3 guys, it would cost something like RMB680, still not that bad for small group. the tips RMB300 is the same for most KTV. never try ta bao back. but guess should be between 1000 to

Yes, Jin Yu Lan is nice and the price is reasonable (600 for the smallest K room). And another great thing about it is that it starts slow. Gilrs arrive around 8-8:30 so there is no rush to get in early.

I have stayed at Hua Ting a couple of months back. Since last year, it is no longer under the Sheraton management and it has been taken over by a state-owned company. My initial thoughts was that being state-owned, it would be stricter in terms of bringing gals in after 11pm. However, it turns out otherwise. I stayed there for 4 nights and I brought a different gal back every night between 11pm and 1am. There were no incidents at all on all 4 occasions.

I have also stayed at Renaissance, Westin (new), and a couple of other 5-star hotels. So far, I have only encountered once that my gal has to leave her details with the front office.

in actual fact those state own hotels are less strict. When I was in Qingdao, I was staying in this hotel own by the army, the HC was also operate by the army, they offer RMB400 for the full service. It may be abit stirct in SHA or BJS, but most of the time the hotel ppl dun really care.
In fact I would say in China the so call "11 pm" rules dun really rules. Its when they are having some "special" events. than the police and hotels will be more on the ball. or else most of the time, no body give a shit about the rules here. so dun worry when you are in china, most of the time, just enjoy urself here.

I fully agree with you bro. Going back with us is not free, they just leave it to us to make a fair payment after their services.
Even its free, get them some presents and don't be cheap.

Samsters here please take note that this is an exceptional rare case. It should not be used as a standard practise. It's highly misleading.

We cannot "ask her if she wants to follow you back, if she agree, it should be free." This is defintely wrong.

A gal working in a commercial night spots like KTV, nightclubs etc. agreed to go back with dosen't means it is FOC. Please bare it in mind. This can result into some very "fierce" arguments later on. They are there to make money and not to seek " fun". It's best that the price be "confirmed" before the take away.

From my personal experience, those relationships that are preceived to be free alway ended up to be more expensive (some much more). Many times liao.......

Thus, I never believe in getting free stuff. Like Bro S69 said even if she said "never mind", I will buy something equil to "market value" for her. If we want to be treated fairly we have to do like wise.
