Hey bro, how long actually if were to take a bus from Sin to Hat? So far only Thai air going to Hat Yai from Sin, timing no good. I am planing to take bus, kekeke.

Most coaches will leave about 6pm ~ 6.30pm and reaching Changlun (Msia border with Thai) about 5.00 ~ 5.30am to wait for the custom to open at 6.00am. It will take another 45 mins to reach Hdy town from the custom. All in all, you will probably spending 13 hours in the bus. If you can sleep well in the bus, then the journey is not too bad but if otherwise, it will be really miserable to sit still with nothing to do for 13 hours is really killing. I rather drive up, most flexibility and convenience.

13 hrs only. And the cheaper u can get in GM from Phaya Travel (KKKL) $35 paying cash. departure at 6pm.

Thats the cheapest route from Spore, so got to bear with it. Otherwise, you can try AirAsia JB > Pg direct flight and Pg > Changlun > Hdy by taxi. It should about SGD150 and reaching about 1.00 ~ 2.00 pm thai time.

Right after Thai border is Danuk border town, party starts as early as 4pm. Pretty happening and wild there too. Joints worth to check out are Bangkok Cafe, Spider Cafe, Oscar Cafe which are all within walking distance. Quality of puyings not bad if you are not scared off by the cowboy town surrounding.

13 hours including the 1 hour adjusting of clock.

I usually spilt the driving to 2 part. Stop for a happy hour at KL, then Ipoh for supper before heading to Hdy. Straight up will be very jialat, must rotate driver, if not by the time you reach Hdy, you are more interested to the bed than puying.

Even if you getting ready to part with RM50 on each speed trap, you cant take it at 160 km/h for too many hours. The fastest we ever reached Changlun is about 8 hours plus, of course with 3 drivers driving non-stop. It's distance is about 850km, thats having to keep a minimum of speed of at least 120 ~ 130 km/h. The toll fees alone will cost about RM90 plus about 2 tanks petrol depending on your fuel consumption. Assuming if RM50/tank X 2 + RM90 toll fees = RM190 . It will be economical if you have at least 3 ~ 4 person sharing the journey, otherwise it will be cheaper to go by coach. Of course, you wont have as much freedom and convenience to decide your iterinary. BTW, you could also drive your car in to HDY if you have your car log card and bought a insurance at Mini Tour at Changlun for RM18. You will save a lot of tuk tuk fees and all the convenience of driving around.

I have a buddy who have drived all the way to BKK and Phuket in a 10 days trip. The furthest I have ventured on road in LOS is from BKK > Pattaya > Chanthapuri > Cambodia, by bus and pickup. Quite an adventerous journey, though most of the time you are on road rather than bed but you get to see lots of news things and explored unexplored areas.

Devil u r right.....i used to drive up to Hatyai alone......

and with no stopping! When i reached Hatyai, i am 200% dead.....but still dun care, go to SC to book the gal. For your information, i start my journey early in the morning.

One of these day can i drive up to Hatyai with you guys?

hmm... sound very song lei , driving up north , but wit the lately news of highway speed trap , afraid can't speed and in fact the journey there might takes a longer time ar

i luv driving veri much freedom , even hungry anytime just pull over for some snacks at petrol kiosk .

havn't try to hty b4 , the most to genting , but feeling kind of shiok and steam also , single driver ,

With this long drive, shoud get a partner to interchange more song.. start at 9pm if u worry about speed trap than u can reach early morning at HDY.....
