Unfortunately, that is the hallmark of the SBF scammers; unable to return home for a variety of reasons, they rely on ethnic/affinity cons against fellow Singaporeans.

They are not able to compete with the local conmen and do not have the "backing" required to go against the locals; so they instead target trusting and good natured Singaporeans. So much easier and safer as Samsters are usually only temporary visitors and cannot/will not report to authorities when cheated.

Also, SBF rules allow them free reign to do whatever they want to do, use all sorts of tactics to lure their victims, have as many clones as they want - and allow them to freely just use another when one gets "used up."

Unfortunately, it is the inherent ambiguity of most laws and the various interpretation of such - as evidenced by law-courts jammed with arguments about them - that is a perennial problem in all countries.

This problem is exacerbated in countries with lower standards and/or moral character like Vietnam, China, Myanmar etc. There, both opportunistic crooks as well as authority figures take advantage of any law - no matter how noble they were originally meant to be - to extract dues to line their own pockets.

But even in the most developed countries, LE as well as crooks use the laws for their own personal benefit, albeit not as blatantly.

Second, women in their early to mid-thirties are at the peak of their sexual needs and prowess. So not so surprising especially since apparently your kids are now grown enough where they don’t need her constant care; she probably now got time to revert back to her “old ways” as you had described your early days.

Third, she probably came to the realization that you ARE a great husband and father and thus now trying to make it up. But both you and her must realize that sex is NOT the be-all that will solve all your problems; it’s just the icing on the cake.

My wife and I ran across this problem very early on in our marriage and have I think at least come to an acceptable compromise if not actually solved it.

We both came to the realization that we each need our own "space" - whether it's our jobs, our different friends etc., EVEN and especially what we are up to IN OUR OWN TIME. So when it comes to things like this, we basically do NOT ask and for sure do not demand answers. Not all answers are what you'd like to hear anyway, so why bother to even ask? What's important is US, our family and how we can work together to build it up.

Mine, posted under my nick SE Asia Joe there, was actually a reply; and thus the weird wording of his post - as he hadn’t even bothered to revise it to make sense as a stand-alone post.

I have been a member of that other forum as SE Asia Joe since the early 2000’s and this crooked stealth agent/assault clone has been trying to attract business from that other forum where I am quite well known as a contributing and helpful Senior Member.
