The most famous Hokkien song ever. Commonly known as father of Hokkien Song. Everywhere we go if where there Minnan peoples (whether Hokkien, Teochew, Hainanese, Hockchew etc,), they will know this song.
This song is translated to so many Asian languages and dialects. This is definitely the song that every Chinese will know even if they do not understand Minnan/Taiwanese Hokkien. I was surprised in my business trip to interior China such as Ningxia, Xinjiang, Yunnan, Hunan, Sichuan, Heilongjiang etc they mentioned this song when they know I m Hokkien-lang. This is an energetic, motivation and inspiration song. This song definitely will boost up ur self esteem for millions of peoples! I was told that this song is so popular in Taiwan that it almost became the de-facto National anthem of ROC Taiwan. Anyone who know or heard this song will know Taiwan or that it is Hokkien/Minnan dialect song. Its quite pretty meaningful. You must strive hard (diligence) to SUCEED!!
