I saw a post at another forum with few regulars trying to cut the budget as low as possible. Let me give a try.

1. Take 170 bus from Rochor Rd Bus Terminal to JB Larkin for $1.20 ( I think) and then take coach from JB > HDY for RM60 (If I remember correctly). Return coach from Hdy > Spore is 600b.

2. Hunt and charm a puying not working as pro (no need to pay booking fees) , best if she has her own stable income. You can bonk for free as long as you are there. You could also stay for free at her room if she dont mind.

3. 3 meals a day X 100b = 300b for those sold from street hawker to take away.

4. Drink thai liguor - Shangtip or Regency or 100Pipers which cost lesser than 300b. One bottle a day will be enough to last you enough high.

All in all for a week stay, your expense will be lesser than SGD300. You still enjoy your daily bonk, traditional original thai food and thai liguours. Otherwise, you can imagine how those working as decent job like waiteress survived with 5,000b bath monthly?

I was tempting to try this round, when we asked each other outdoor adventures. If this is the case, got to get a four wheeler or perhaps a van, more space to more actions mah

a budget like what you proposed....hehehe.....the visitors who dont know the in's and out's of thailand or hatyai is very likely to go "hungry" or "vegetarian" for many a night. LOL.

Just booked via AirAsia from Pg to BKK for just RM165 including tax. I will be in BKK from 6th July, confirmed.. first time ever got official excuse to LOS and my first trip to BKK, but tour guided by my girl.. can not LatKai but I am not complaining.. hehehehe

AirAsia is starting KL > Hdy direct flight, time will come soon to have Spore > Hdy, I am 100% sure of this. Then, I bet we will have the Hdy scene more active, and cheonging Hdy is not too much hassle than to cheong JB liao.. Fly on Fri and Return on Sun nite, could do it every weekend.. yeha

I spent some of my nights sleeping alone too sometimes, but mostly bcos I was too drunk to do anything else... haahahaha... I feel that its sometime pretty enjoyable to party around with a group of close buddy and some puying friends with everyone merrying liguor together, not necessarily must bonk every day and nite.. or maybe my sex desire got immune liao.. hahahahha

I think if you dress well, behave normal and know how to approach and strike up conversation with a puying, chances are slim to go vegie for all the days. Their culture is so much more friendly and most of the puyings are hoping for a pot of gold behind each foreign man, so your striking chances are much higher to get ONS in LOS than in Spore.

Now Garden Home is charging 400 Baht for the old wing, big cosy room and can enjoy some traditional thai music in the cafe.
Alternatively, can also stay in Abbasador hotel for 420 Baht, newly renovated and both hotels within the See Kim Yong Area.

As for puying, if you go to the Pong KTV in Chanivale , it is B1200 for a older puying, 23 yo to 28 yo.
I ever took one 30 yo puying at JR KTV in the See Kim Yong area for 1200 Baht, turn out that she has a tour of duty in Macau and Hong Kong, pretty good service ..

FR on Betong, 30th June to 2nd July

Took the Sri Maju Coach from Golden Mile for S$38 to HDY and catch a mini van from Davis Tour for 160 Baht. Checked into Sri Betong Hotel old wing 's 500 baht room, the smallest size room. The price is 500 for small, 600 for medium and 700 for big while for the new wing , it is 700, 900 and 1100 baht.
Walk around the town and found that the KTVs across Grand View Hotel is closed, except the Jockey Club. Went in the saw the Go Go dancers in either T back or G strings dancing on 2 small stages. Order a Hineken beer for 150 baht and enjoy the show for about 2 hours.Left and wander into Hongton KTV, with a large chinese singing crowd, a sweet PRC in her late 20s came to accompany me in the beer drinking, one beer cost 180 baht and tips for the PRC is 100 baht. Went for Short time as the asking price is 1000 baht. Not much of service, just like in GL.Went for another round of drinking at the top star dangdut disco.
The next day, venture into the KTV area behind the Betong Mongkollit tunnel, there are at least 10 KFC farm there. There are vietnamese girls too.
Viet cost more than the local ones, with a minimum price of 2000 baht for those no so pretty ones, going up to 3500 baht.
Book a local pretty one for 2500 baht at BM Escort, tel 073-245659.
Took a mini van back to HDY on 2nd July.

Thats almost as cheap as taking coach from KL to HDY, too bad AirAsia cant fly direct from Spore. The next best route is JB > Pg by AirAsia and Pg > Bukit Kayu Hitam by taxi
