For the disco, they will accept your SGD and convert it according to their rates (lower than normal market) .. so its better to buy IDR.
As for other places, they do accept SGD cos now the Dollar appreciates

On the currency issue, rate used to be around S$1 - Rp5700 .. now its S$1 - around Rp6,000. So its best you pay in IDR since your S$ can fetch more Ruppiahs (given that if their prices remain unchanged; some hotel very kan-bu 1, their room rates flunctuate with exhange rates)

Sounds like good value. Better make a trip to the ATM tonight though!

Then I go to Batam tomorrow. Will have to work on Friday, but Friday night should be free before heading back to SG on Sat.
