HGH

Seems like the whole place just woke up. Most places are still quite quiet.
Some gals actually went home to sleep away the SARS period. Some are moving to SHA.
The joints I went is quite quiet, maybe I did not stay long enough.
Will check out some more joints tonight witht he cab driver.

SARS in SHA

BroJungleboy, pls read my comment just a few days ago. In general, the fear is gone, masks are gone except some food service sector. Retail business has picked up.
Certain hotels might still be taking temperature of newly arrived guests. Otherwise, everything is okay.

I'll be back to SIN for a couple of weeks before returning to SHA early July.

Have fun!

Sars

Hi Ascott, it was nice meeting you and thanks again for the coffee!

I agree with bro Ascott that the fear is gone or down to an unnoticeable level. As everyone knows, the fear factor plays a huge role in such epidemics. Perception varies - my friends in faraway non-Sars countries in Africa & UK perceived that the Sars virus was floating around everywhere, lurking for the slightest opportunity to pounce on anyone who dared to venture outdoors.

Whilst the fear may be gone, measures are still being taken to maintain a perceived high level of hygiene. Hence, the wearing of masks and disinfection of public areas still prevail.

For the solo travellers - Blue Mountain

As per my intro, I'm not a cheongster. However there's this place I'd been to which bros here may wish to try (especially if u r here alone). It's a Club & Bar (Jap style) - nice place. U don't have to but if u want companionship then there're hostesses to choose from - RMB200 tips. Apart from the usual tables & chairs, they've high-backed double-seaters which are strategically placed facing the floor-to-ceiling glass windows around the joint. Altho on the 2 occasions I was there I didn't get a hostess to sit with me, I caught glimpses of "activity" from these double-seaters. The high-backs provide sufficient privacy for groping & smooching.

The mamasan is called Teresa (pretty!) & speaks English with an American accent. Just go to: Blue Mountain Hotel (lan jin shan da jiu dian) at Pudong, 738 Dongfang Lu. The club (Akatsuki Group) is on the 42nd storey. Tel: 021-68868495.

Blue Mountain - cont'd

Drinks r reasonably priced for a 5-star hotel - RMB45 for a small bottle of Budweiser. There's a RMB260 package - free flow of beer all night. So if u r a guzzler, the package is a good deal.

The girls r pretty enough, attired in their bottomed-up (which naturally can be bottomed-down) uniforms - but as usual go early for wider choice. The SG friend who took me there on the 1st occasion told me his SG friend who visited this joint, took the girl back for a free "meal" on his 3rd visit. Whilst that may indeed have happened, one would expect that, on balance, free "meals" (anywhere!) r more the exception than the norm. Let's face it: if these girls r not out to earn a quick buck, they won't be working at such places. In any case, if that guy had tipped the girl more than the prescribed fee on each visit, then u won't exactly call it a "free" meal after the 3rd visit.

Free "meals" with girls acquainted thru other avenues r, however, a different story.

Enjoy!

I think you are talking about Tsu Jing San Hotel (Purple Mountain) rather than Blue Mt. right?

I went Asatsuki to check it out last night. Yes, Purple Mt. is the correct name and it is on the 42nd Fl. There are two clubs on the 42nd. Asatsuki is on the right hand side. Shanghainese mami Tracy has a very pretty face. They had about 15 girls there, all in uniforms. But most (well, all actually) of them did not fit my taste (I like slim and leggy girls), so I didn't take anyone for the night. Oh, they had a launge area (which is great if you go alone) and also K rooms.

I didn't go check out the club right next door. Girls there have better uniform. And I saw a couple cute ones. I suspect this one is better than Asatsuki.

Re: Purple Mountain

Thanks for sharing the information. I think the club is a great place to visit for customers who don't want to be in a K room.

On the other hand, I belive the best Pu Dong clubs with K rooms are either Wei Tai or Yo Yo; both really famous places in Pu dong.

Happy Father's Day

A Happy Father's Day to all samsters in SHA.

Hi Bund, nice meeting you too. Let's go for a game when I am back.
I believed you can never imagine a Samster's quick response to your FR. Anyway, good work done but that joint is quite off where I am usually. Wait till all the guys are back in SHA so we can arrange a gathering together.

Smile HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!

To all bros here who've children (or those who don't but are sugar-daddies), HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!

Bro Ascott, u hit the nail on the head! Wa liao eh, I didn't expect someone (bro 69er) to immediately go check the place out. Some more wrong hotel name and he found it! Pai seh! I must have had too much caffeine in my brains when I wrote "Blue Mountain".
U must be happy to be back with yr kids today - have a happy day!

Bro SGP, savouring yr time with yr kid before u leave to cheong? Haha. Me not cheongster but this kind of place, I can go. However, I'm only afraid u guys adjourn to a more "happening" place if u find that place tame - then I limbo. The reason I try not to join friends who go & cheong is becoz I don't want to be a wet blanket. Even tho I always tell them to enjoy themselves and leave me to my own devises, somehow it just doesn't feel right.

But I'd be more than happy to meet up for a drink/coffee/pool - if anyone is like-minded.

Meanwhile, have a safe flight (flights, actually) and a pleasant trip!

Hey bro Bund,
Thanks for the well wishes to us all & from us all...
To each his likings and interest in all things, the elast will be said when one choose to join in the fun or not in whatever the activities the bros here participate in.....

As far as I'm concern, coffee meetings can also be just as elightening in terms of chats on any topics, so be it the environment it has to offer! Too mcuh 'cheongings' can make one pretty 'ill' in feelings towards these (KTVS, etc) places as well...

Do drop me a line when I'm back in Shanghai from 19 June onwards...we can always catch up over a coffee at Coffee Bean or Starbucks if u like....
Cheers for now....last but least, a Happy Father's Day to u & family!
Regards,
