Sometime it depend on ur luck. Try not to go last ferry. Cos tats their last chance for the nite to earn extra "income". Frankly I did bring in camera b4, but no problem so far. Kakies been bringing em too but no prblem oso. As for laptop, be sure no obscene pic in it. Yes, they have the power to ask u open files. Dont challenge them. U r in their territory. Dont say laptop. Saw 1 ah pek...bring in some fruits...bananas...oso kena called in the office. Later I asked him, he say "aiyah, juz give him S$10. KNN, really spoilt mkt!". So, remember not to take last ferry to TBK...if u r a newbie.

Due to size of my DSLR camera with a 18mm ~200mm lens (quite big , bigger than those point n shoot camera) it become a obvious target for them. If i bring small camera(point & shoot) it will be no problem. Hate to go inside the office and waste my time.
So just chk with bro here have bring in a DSLR & did not encounter any problem .
