Recce Mission
BroSGP, I don't think broShagman's cow is a SHA local. Unless you are talking of another cow whom I have not met.
Anyway, the cow that I know is waiting for him (he reports frequently!) so I don't think he has the time to do any recce. This weekend I am damn busy with work not to mention my date with Ah Ling. Like real! Please practice your golf before you come back! The holes are waiting for you!

Greetings!
Hi, everyone! Recently stumbled upon this site and spent the past few days reading through this thread. It has been entertaining, to say the least. Some of you old birds (as in experienced, not ancient like me) are really funny. I'd also like to congratulate you guys for establishing camaraderie (geez haven't used this word for donkey years so hope I've got the spelling correct) in a foreign land.
I suppose it's only polite to give a brief introduction about myself. I've been based in Shanghai since July 2002 although I'd been travelling here regularly since 2001. In a nutshell, I'm not a local snake (yet). It may surprise you to know that I'm not a cheongster like so many of you guys. But who says people with different views can't be friends, right? As long as we don't impose our views on each other and/or try to change each other, I'm sure great friendships can be made with everyone (well, almost everyone). I'm wondering whether any SG bros here would be interested to spend some time shooting a game or two of American pool whilst here in Shanghai. I know it pales in comparison with the games most of you are used to playing but I reckon it won't harm anyone to try something where the balls DO go into the holes for a change. I know some of you play golf so the concept isn't new to you. Once in awhile, I suppose it's good for the blood-pressure to do something less stressful. Oh, I'm not talking about pool in pubs - there's this pool club along Huai Hai Lu which I frequent for pure relaxation. Anyway, any bros here who's interested or just wants to meet up with a fellow Singaporean whilst in Shanghai, please (oh, PLEASE!) pm or email me. Thanks. In the interim, to everyone out there - stay happy with whatever you're doing!

Yes, confirmed broShagman's cow is a local Shanghainese. Met both of them yesterday at the driving range and he looks fine to me. We did discuss Shui Cheng Lu and I did go to this place for recce. It is quite a long road and from the exterior, very difficult to indentify the joint. There is one popular joint called Xanadu. Any bro. been to this place? Heard it is been frequent by Taiwanese and HongKongers. To all bros. concern, my progress with Ah Ling is going on fine. Alot of unexpected personal details were discovered from her so, will not be smooth sailing but will try.

Back to Normal
Bro Trax222, the situation in SHA is basically back to normal. From 1st June, most of the restaurant staffs have taken off their masks. Not many commuters are wearing one now. Even the taxi drivers had taken their mask off but their vehicles are still been disinfected daily. The only place where masks are still worn are McDonald and the other int'l fastfood chain.
Retail business has picked up since end of May. At last! So I would say the situation here are pretty safe. The raining season has just begun. Have a good time!
