1st February time around 1300hrs.

The only money changer open at Woodlands old New Town was at Sheng Shiong
SGD$100 to RM$226

Malaysia money changers from Malaysian custom till Merlin Tower offered SGD$100 to RM$227 (except for 1 moneychanger inside Merlin Tower ground floor offered SGD$100 to RM$227.10)

After a late lunch went to Jalan Wong Ah Fook where there is a whole row at moneychangers, went to the nearest one who offered SGD$100 to RM$227. Changed SGD$300, the moneychanger gave us a receipt and qouted instead SGD$100 to RM$228, that was around 1400hrs to 1430hrs.

I guess the sign he placed at his counter is not the final offer until we went through him personally or he gave us a wrong qoute to our advantage.

read t strait times recently tat RM may strengthen against US$ n China may further "relax " its peg to the US$ soon (in 2006)....
meanwhile S$ have oredi appreciate against US$ quite a bit liao ...now is 1.632 (from a recent 1.685 hor)......
All tis may point tat t goot rate of RM230 (and above) to S$100 may b a ting of t past........
Thus....may b worthwhile to hold (buy) RM ...when it depreciate to RM 229 to S$100....for mani mani future BONKs (investment

Bro, is right. Due to the competition there, they normally give additional RM0.50 to RM1.00 to every S$100 change. It depands on the amount you trade. So far the best add value I found is the last shop next to the small garden, just after you U-turn back to the city.
