Hi

I will need your advise on how to apply for VISA for my girlfriend to come to sillypore.

My girl friend was in singapore in Feb on an EP to work in Singapore. After coming to singapore, she find that the job is not suitable for her and she did not get the company to issue the EP for her. After extending the VISA for a month, she has to go back in Apr once it expired.

I act as a sponsor for her Visitor VISA in May, but it was rejected. I appeal and it was rejected also. Even she try to apply for EP again, the VISA is also rejected.

I have been planning to marry her end of the year, will I have problem with her VISA again if the reason stated now is for marriage?

u're not the 1st person with this FAQ, n i doubt will be the last. as said, its just a matter of chance... n the authorities dont owe u any explanation of apology should they deny the application.

meanwhile, they dont want long term visitors, they want new citizens. so, unless your spouse is qualified & is capable of contributing to economy via tax returns... u would know better how optimistic/ pessimistic the application results may turn out to be.

Hi bro,

two departments control a foreigner entry into Singapore. MOM and ICA and their computers are interfaced and linked.

Therefore, any applicant details used for one department must be the same as that used for the other department. Any false declaration is an offence.

Since she paid $100 to MOM, it was a composition fine for her over-staying, which meant that she overstayed for a very very short duration and was not prosecuted in court.

However, her records in Dingapore is nonetheless tainted in Singapore.

Now, she needs to appeal to ICA for permission to enter Singapore. PM for more info.

Would just like to ask, my gal (from PRC) was given a 2 month Visa, and with her first month up next week, she tried to extend her stay but was rejected, is there anyway where she can go about getting her stay extended for the last month?

I remember reading somewhere about going Malaysia for a few days to stay then coming back, is it still valid? Or will it help? Thanks!!! Appreciate your help.

BTW she's working as a designer in China so nothing illegal here other than visiting me.

dun understand...if given 2 mth visa means allowed to stay 2 months...why need to extend after 1 mth...

Yup 2 month visa but when she comes, the immigration will stamp on the passport the duration of stay which is 1 month from entry. If want to extend, need to go down to extend for the 2nd month.
