Re: Liverpool Fc Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Anyway the facts are clear signs....
The stupid commotion surrounding the Yankees are unsettling the teams and Rafa too. Do hope they can put it aside and get on with the game. Tough match coming up against West Ham.

I have no problem with criticising Rafa or the players if there is a real case for it - e.g. if Rafa goes 5-4-1 again. But I do it on the basis of what I can see and can point out as evidence. You can't do that for the rotation argument (or at least haven't). But I always support the team from the standpoint that whatever we fans do has a massive impact on the players and the club. If we support right, we become the proverbial 12th player. If we don't, we put undue pressure on the players. That's why I have a beef with the rotation argument. You are telling every player who is rotated into the starting eleven that he is not good enough simply because he didn't play in the last few games, that he is bound to perform poorly. You might not intend to do so, but that is what is bound to happen. The players are also human, and get affected by these doubts coming from their OWN fans. I ask you to join me and others and get behind the team. No shite about rotation or Rafa's beard. You can write a thesis on that when Rafa is gone. We are walking through a storm right now. Get behind the players and the club 100%. |

But i think that 17 million pounds is too ex for a defensive midfielder ie maschernao, anyway, Alonso can oreadi do a good job. better to spend the money on another striker or attacking winger.

Alonso doing a better job, no offense but I feel Liverpool has seen the best of Alonso...Mascherano reminds me of a certain Mick Mills...tackle with bite and don't hold back..Alonso maybe becos of all his fantastic long range goals but his passing game seems to have lost its edge...

Rafa may end up either to play both of them together, which has been disasterous so far, or do his fav trick - to rotate them. Then we know what will happen to both of em, they will just lose their shape and form due to inadequate games. But i agree that most likely Rafa will buy mascherano as he wants to stay at liverpool.

In an interview with Radio 5 live's 'Sportsweek' programme, Liverpool co-chairman Tom Hicks
There's a lot of speculation about whether you will complete a £17million deal for Javier Mascherano. Are you prepared to endorse that transfer? Absolutely. hopefully we will sign him soon....
