depends Garden hotel can be a little pricey if its ok then yeah no problem, if not they are lots of other budget hotels with the same quality as hotel 81 some are even better

depending on what you want to buy dude, wanlink guanzhang at Yide Lu has got many good stuff at wholesale price, and opposite it is the shoes wholesale market. On top of that beijing lu has got lots of stuff to shop. Mens clothes too is quite easy to find there is so many shops to buy dude i don't know where to begin for you. Have you tried Liwan Guanzhang area, there's lots of stuff to buy too. As for girls stuff with reasonable pricing maybe you want to try opposite Teemall or Tianhe Zheng that stretch has got loads of stuff for girls.

As to how to get there if you taking taxi of course its easy but most place ar well connected with buses and metro so better take the later and it's cheaper too

Garden Hotel is damn ex and not worth it, 3 star hotel charging 5 star rates. Somemore the place damn popular with ang mors, at night the whole place turns into Paramount on a saturday night.

The last time I was there, 5 of us beat up these 3 ang mor f**ks for giving us crap.

If you are near to Garden Hotel, go round the back, quite a few happening pubs in the area. Just don't stay there....
