OK, I just got back from my trip to Danok. Thanks to bro lonelyboy85 for giving me a few last minute pointers! Thanks yo...

Anyway, after asking around, due to the Hari Raya holidays, I gathered that I should start my journey early from KL to Dannok by road. Took the PLUS highway.... and boy was the traffic jam HORRIBLE! At any place that have a stopover station, the traffic jam is 3 to 5 km long! I started my journey from KL at 3 a.m. and arrived at the Bukit Kayu Hitam immgration at 10:30 a.m. That is a whopping 7-1/2 hours drive! Definitely wasn't expecting that! Following bro lonelyboy85's advice, I drove pass the Malaysian immigration and parked my car in the Thai immigration checkpoint's car park. Walked across the immigration and voila! Me in Dannok liao!

Sure enough, there were plenty of touts on motorbikes asking me where I stay, need girl or not, they can offer to send me to a nice hotel, blah, blah, blah.... I just say it is ok, I already have a booking and walked on. Have to be firm with these touts, they can be very persuasive....

Reached Hi Class hotel. (It is way at the back of town... nice and quite place). The uncle at the front desk greeted me with a nice smile and promptly checked me in. The rate I got was 550baht, or RM58 per night, which I thought was a pretty good price, judging from the prices of hotels that fellow SBF members had been quoting. The room is nice and spacious. Aircon is cold. No bathtub, but then again, I never liked using bathtub anyway. Bed is HUGE. I think it is king size bed. Sturdy, good for bonking. I also noticed that the hotel actually will rent out rooms on a monthly basis. Checked with the front desk uncle and he said the monthly rental starts from 6400 baht per month.

As I was rather knackered from the long drive, I decided to go for a massage first. Walked around to familiarise myself with Dannok. At the end, decided to go to Mutiara 2 Spa. Same owner as Mutiara Spa (next to Satit Hotel), but Mutiara 2 is opposite the road. Nice place. Very authentic. Can't say much about the ML though. Maybe I was there late. Not much choice left. Thanks to all the help from the postings in this forum actually that I got to go to Dannok. I wouldn't had thought of going if not for these tips. Hope to go with bros in here next time lah. Will be more fun, I guess. Yes, die die must also complete the mission in Dannok. I have to admit that going alone is definitely not as much fun as going in a group, with same-minded people.
