i couldn't stop myself from thinking about her.

so i deleted her number. blocked her. made it impossible for me to contact her anymore. this really helped.

wished her the best in my heart. and then went to fuck other girls....it helped. now i look back, sure, i miss her. i didn't expect falling in love with her..but hey. do what you have to, to get rid of heart pain from breakup..

Yes. Today I don’t send any sms. It’s painful. But I put my phone out of my sight. Addiction is painful. Last week keep looking at the phone for her message. I keep telling myself she is better off without me. Must endure for rest of the week.

What do you WANT to do right now? Besides texting her? We cannot read your mind. I got dumped around this period around Xmas and New Year as well. So I can empathise with you. Though, it was ages ago.

Spend time to occupy yourself - focus on an objective or a goal. That will at least keep your mind focus

Not gonna be easy but you will reach a point where you will just remember, shrugged your shoulder and just breathe and push it out of your mind.

Today meet a pretty girl when I go for breakfast alone. She ask if there is anyone seating. So I say no. We chat and exchange contact to become breakfast buddy. Her smile make my day.

Then out of sudden, my ex-colleague contact me via linkedIn. We last contact. She is still as cheerful as before. We catch up last weekend. Planning to go staycation in Sentosa.

I am thinking but feel good to know new girls. Not planing to be in a relationship yet. But I will be truthful and enjoy their company and see how it go. Hopeful to get a good hug to nurse my broken heart.

Time will heal but you will never forget. Of course a healthy advice would be to find new activity or hobby to do or hang out with new friends, but since this is SBF, I found that finding ML/FL would boost my ego for the rejection and breakup but just temporarily also. Just a personal experience, but remember need to further guard your heart from all the KC trap.

Once you do, you realise no need put women on the pedestal.

Find a rebound.

A lot has been said that find a new activity to keep u occupied and forget about the heart pain. But a new activity can only help u to lose focus for that much of the time. After the activity ends, u will still find yourself lonely.

It’s weekend, u used to go out with your gf for movies, for meals. Now u have nobody. Your other social circle can only occupy u for the short term. Your friends have their usual routine to go back to. They can’t accompany u throughout your heartbreak stage.

When u want to share a joke, or bitch about your daily life, suddenly there’s nobody to turn to without being judged.

When the relationship becomes long, your routines and habits basically is related to the other half. Once breakup, some of these habits are hard to change.

Only when u find someone to fill this gap, then u will start to forget her. Whether u like the rebound truly or not, it’s up to u. It can be a short term date, a FB.. it’s easier to find someone to fill up the time.

Thanks for the advice. One thing I do is place my mobile far away from me when I am working. Out of sight, out of mind. Once I forget about my mobile, I won't tend to text her. TBH, it is still painful. I am signing up part time courses. Looking forward to meet new and pretty classmates to study together over the weekend. Weekday is ok. I have work to occupy. Weekend and holiday are the worst.
