Bro beeped, as we all know, China is a fxxxing big country with fxxxing big population, hence, people come in all shape and size and most of all, all sort of mindset. My advice is, if it seemed fishy for a Shanghainese to treat you well, then what you should do is to insist on paying for some of the dues, e.g. tell her you are going to the gents, and come back with a drink that you are buying for her. At the end of the day, make sure that things are going unilateral basis, she might buy you several shots, at least u could say u have also bought her a couple. Let me sidetrack a little, most ktv mm are out to make money, but from my personal experience, if they like you and hang out with you outside their joints, they may even treat you to meals, drinks and sex. Most of us are Chinese by race, but our mindset may be totally different from those in the Mainland. Hence, do not assume you know what they are up to. Rather exercise a little caution every now and then.
