1新元兑RM2.63　钱幣商生意增50%
国內 2014年12月3日 東方日報

（新山3日讯）令吉匯率创今年新低，新元兑换令吉升至2令吉63仙，不少马劳趁机大量兑换令吉，钱幣兑换公 司商生意额激增50%。

国际油价跌破每桶70美元（约242令吉90仙），国家石油將降低资本开销及支付给政府的股息，各种负面消 息导致马股及令吉週一双双重挫。

令吉今日进一步走弱至3.44令吉兑1美元，兑换新元也创今年新低。新加坡钱幣兑换商处大排长龙，出现兑换 令吉的人潮，受访钱幣兑换商透露，和上周末相比，兑换令吉的人潮增加20％，在考虑到未来数天的需求，因此 增加30％令吉现金应急。

马劳趁机兑换

一水之隔的新山，钱幣兑换商也受惠于大马客工和外国人趁令吉匯率创新低，纷纷前来兑换令吉，使生意增加50 ％。

兴隆钱幣兑换有限公司负责人陈书妹（48岁）接受《东方日报》访问时透露，从本月1日起，生意增加了50％ ，前来兑换令吉的包括想要趁著令吉兑换率创新低，而来我国游玩的人士，以及马劳趁机兑换辛辛苦苦赚来的钱， 希望能换取较高的令吉。

「不过，但是还是有许多人抱持观望的態度，盼令吉匯率再下跌，届时再来兑换，以换得更多令吉。 」

她说，近来导致匯率波动的原因，除了油价重挫及马股匯市崩盘之外，国家银行为求在国內需求强劲的背景下，防 止通膨率和槓桿攀升，在7月宣布上调其政策利率也是影响令吉贬值的因素之一。

她表示，在市场经济条件下，利率和匯率係係相关，利率上升意味著人民储蓄率越高，导致资本外流，从而市场上 货幣供应量减少。

匯率下跌或持续

「整体上令吉兑换其他国家的钱幣的匯率都有所影响，尤其新元兑换率上升，对那些要到大马旅行和消费的新加坡 人来说是个好消息。」

她说，某些国家没有与美元掛勾，如日本、澳洲、韩国和纽西兰，所以並没有带来严重的影响。

「令吉匯率下跌的现象可能会持续至明年，未来的前景起伏不定，尤其是这次突然的油价暴跌及外资加速撤离，拖 累亚洲各主要货幣普遍滑落，所以大马经济可能还需要些时间恢復。」

根据分析，我国的財政赤字问题，加上马股跌势惨不忍睹，导致综指在油气股和种植股暴跌拖累下，外资也加速撤 离，让我国成为週一表现最差的亚洲主要货幣。

投资者会看选择低油价有利的先进国，因此国际游资加速撤资，拖累油价重挫及大马股市与匯市大失 血。

The latest estimate is Malaysian Ringgit will stay weak against the Singapore Dollar for a long time. Time to vist Malaysia. The Singapore Dollar will be strong against quite a number of other currencies except the US Dollar.

Do we get better exchange rates if we change Singapore Dollars to Malaysian Ringgits in Singapore or Johor Bahru?

Where did you guys change for above 2.60?

I checked with several moneychangers in JB today and they ranged from 2.51 (Sentral) to 2.54 (Pelangi)..... further inland near to JPO was the highest at 2.56

Back in Singapore the rates was between 2.55 (Kranji) to 2.58 (PPC)...... I think the 2.63 posted by the media is wayang only as no moneychanger willing to match that rate.

Take some time to match. They need clear 'old stock' n minimise loss.

Yesterday I changed at Merlin Tower. Initially she offered only 2.54 and I have to bargain then she give 2.57 when I changed SGD $2K into ringgit.
