Sorry to say this. The drivers over there spoil by some of the bros. So now they are clever, Singapore guys go there and call chick must have plenty of money. Same to the hotel. That is how they hook Singaporeans' money into their pocket. Unless you know someone there, he/she will still chop you but not much.

A short review on the new H3 Hotel

-No driver . They usually engage outside driver if u really want. Commission on cewek and fare include.

-Wifi signal average. It drop occasionally and one time i have to call the counter that i don't have the signal.

-Breakfast is standard. Mee Hoo, fried rice ,egg , bread. I still prefer Gabion breakfast.

-Dinning area small. Look good but not practical . U have to bend over to eat or lift your plate to eat still prefer Gabion.

-Bathroom . No bath tub for all room. Water not hot at all (was at 2nd floor standard room)

-Aircon .Only 2nd floor has new aircon . When we were at 4th floor(deluxe room) the room is quite warm as the location of the aircon is blowing toward the main door instead of the bed. Please ask them to give you a room that the aircon is blowing toward the bed if u like cold .

- Room was clean. The deluxe room and the standard room was about the same in term of space except the standard room has lesser space to put your belonging.(only one side has side table on the bed frame , shorter table under the wall mount TV)

-wall socket .Only 2 wall socket. one near or behind TV the other socket beside the bed frame.For bro that bring media player will need an extension.

It is basically a new budget hotel & the price is reasonable . Would stay there again for my next trip beside the shortfall.Hope they can improve over time.

Really am sorry Don while the manager told me they have driver which I did not expect they don't have any. Its my mistake for misleading u. Sorry bro

No worry Bro , instead i should thanks you for recommending this budget hotel, it give me another alternative beside Gabion.

Well , it is still new and the bed is comfortable( for me) but most importantly is wifi and LCD TV (though abit small 24 inch). With this price i can't ask for much. I am a budget man.

Another thing is , it got lot of channal (sports & movies but signal is not so good). I can't receive my ChannalNewsAsia and U channal

Just got back from 4/7 in Balai.Was stopped by customs in Singapore and searched.They found 2 packs of cigarettes and said I would have to pay local tax on them.They also said that I was now recorded on their system,so that if I returned to Singapore with packs of cigarettes,I would have to pay a fine of $500 per pack.
Has anyone else had this experience?
This soured the end of a good trip seeing my regular girl for 3 days.

You are lucky they only asked you to pay tax on them.....KNN I came back with an opened packet of Marlboro left with 18 sticks inside and I was told to pay compound fine of SGD$360/= or go to court if I refused.

My friend on another occasion got it even worse as they never even offer him compound fine.... he was straight away charged in court because he came back with one opened carton of Gudang Garam with 8 packs remaining.

what i normally do...
even when i have only 1 packet of opened cigy...
i will still walk to the customs office and tell them...
their usual reply "smoke this at home and do not smoke it in public...
then i walk to the Green exit "nothing to declare"...
even if the officer Lau Lan and catch me, i just say i went to the customs office just now to declare and the officer ask me to smoke at home...
this acts like buying "insurance" for myself
