1. for normal oil or chinese massages places, what is the norm tip for no extra services?

2. is there similiar to bkk concepts in oil massage places, like how much for hj, bj or fj?

3. any recommends for normal good oil massage places?

As per your queries, pls find appended herewith as follow;
1) Normal Oil / Chinese Massages : Depending on where you go to or what kinda of outlet you patronise, a verylocal small set-up or very high standard establishment it maybe. Ranging from RMB 60 - RMB 500 yuan.
No nonsense, merely a good oil massage tha's all.

2) Full services HC / Massage Centers here in Shanghai offers very similar services to Singapore & Bangkok as well. Full services ranging from RMB 500 - RMB 1,000.
Barber Shops mainly offers quickies i.e. HJ, some offering FJ too. Depends and subjective issues.

3) No nonsense [/B]oil massage outlets are as follow;
a) Dong Fang Roma - expensive outlet. Entrance fees at RMB198. Only includes facilities usage fees. Oil massage services are llisted on Menu as ala-carte items. Pick you choice. Extremely good standard facilities.
Address : On Jiang Ning Road, Ao Men Road.

b) Oriental Oasis - above average outlet. No entrance fees. Typical oil massage starts from RMB 298 onwards to RMB 498 per pax. Very good massage skills.
Address : On Xiang Yang Nan Road, passed the junction of Jian Guo Road.

- HC (600-700RMB)
- BBS (350-700RMB)
- KTV (1000s upwards)

Since I would be in SH end Feb, alone, I wonder if HC (yu ping, TRY, etc) and BBS (Gu Bei road) are safe enough for lone first-time customers? Figure KTV would be jia lat for lone cheongers right? I can jio some colleagues but have doubt whether these KTV welcome Japanese? By the way, any kind bros in SH willing to give contacts or even play guide, can pm me please?

I've been told in the forum that both Rainbow hotel and Galaxy hotel KTV offers a wide range of girls but was pretty disappointed when I patronize both the joints located in Hong Qiao area....However, when I came back I realized there are two different Raibow hotel and Galaxy hotel located in Shanghai...Any brother care to advise me which is the one I should be going ?? Also, be rest assured that most KTV joints welcome all races & nationalities, be it Japs, UK, USA, SGP, etc. As long as one can afford, none of these joints would turn anyone away bro. No worries on that.

True on the fact going alone to KTV joints are pretty dear in cost as well as likely to get ripped off if one are not familiar with the Mamasan there. It would be most advisable to patronise such establishments in min group of 3 pax & above. Most of all, do patronise only joints that either you or your friend have been to before.

Ktv and saunas are usually safe, especially the high class ones. I do not think there are any problems with bringing japanese gusts, don't worry about that.
For bbs it range from 50 for HJ, 100-150 for BJ, 150-300 for FS.
Most of them are safe also.
