Yes. I have been there. In fact, I worked there for 6 months. It's one the worst places on the face of this earth.

To have a passion for something that you have no association with whatsoever borders on lunacy. It's this sort of blind passion that causes most of the problems in this world.

I have a passion for many sports and it drives me to participate in them at my own level. I am not the world's best by a long shot but I enjoy the competition nevertheless. I have admiration for those at the top of the game but to passionately support them when they don't even know I exist would be the dumbest thing on earth to do.

To the supporters of EPL and other ang moh outfits, remember that at the end of the day, they don't even know Singapore exists and if you, a "passionate supporter" were to be run over by an EPL team bus tomorrow, none of them would shed a tear for you so don't waste your emotions supporting them through thick or thin.

If you want to be passionate about someone, confine it to those who care about you... mother.. father... best friend etc.

I for one am more passionate about my family, but football is definately a very important part of my life,not more important than life & death though.

Your reasoning is warped, although to each his own. In the first place, how can you assume none of us here care about our close ones just cos we support our clubs?

Second, to blame the passions for the problems of the world...would you close down the Internet because there are child porn sites or terrorism sites somewhere? Or ban cars because they kill people in accidents? Ban guns because innocent people get killed in murders or misfire?

Like I said, to each his own, but if you were not so deeply set in your thinking, you might want to rethink human psychology with an open mind.

Good points, bro. I'm sure some ang mos still think so, but Pool is no longer a British club anymore. You are also right, the passions are greatest when reality is toughest (so what does that say about the Sg fans here?)

YOUR clubs????? don't make me laugh!. EPL clubs are Ang Moh clubs. They couldn't care one iota about some insignificant Asian is some distant land. Even if you bought an EPL club like Thaksin, they would still look down on you because of your skin colour and your pedigree.

If you do have passion to spare, I suggest you redirect it to a more worthwhile cause.
