aniway,wen i in third world country,i often expect sm form delays,an hr or 2 is norm...even first world like jpn aso can hv plane delay due 2 heavy snowing, no taxi gng 2 airport....lol. i even got 1 time lost a small luggage in jpn airport aso....lol,lucky cum back sg insurance pay me 1k sg dollar...lol... (my luggage & thgs in it cost less than 100 dollar...lol)

in the news...the airport claimed to handle 36 mil passengers whereby the airport was designed to handle capacity of 25 mil passengers per year...mistakes here will always gonna to happen no matter what the authorities implement all sorts of checks...

the gahmen was only keen to see $$ profit$ and still discussing if they should expand the airport North or South...also bear in mind that the gahmen approved a big Long Thanh airport about an hour from hcm...now that airport will be built or not is a question mark...

The whole city traffic bottle neck was also a concern and no sign that the city can plan to alleviate this problem...gahmen only keen to sell more vehicles and then after traffic congestion think of building roads...

dun get me wrong...I expect some sort of delay...but nothing will stop passengers cursing and swearing if mistakes by other passengers and ground crews...

I had never check in luggage for donkey years...always travel light...also not keen to travel to expensive countries...

There are uneducated passengers who never take plane b4 or whatever reasons. Staffs manning the counter are paid to do their job n not chatting or surfing on their smartphones. No excuse.

It was kind for the boss of the airport just to fine the staffs and lucky no big harm done to the flight. If the plane crashes thru the city, all hell breaks loose.

Prevention, waste a bit more time to be safe is a better option.

Lucky SG no land, so they expand by no. of terminals. VN has too much land and easy money, they rather build new airport

see you dun know hcm or TSN airport...the international departure is fine...crowded in he morning but after that not so crowded...it was the domestic terminal that was packed because Viet Nam in the past few years open new routes and more planes purchased...more affluent vietnamese started to travel by air instead of buses/train...

the whole airport is considered as one combine international and domestic but handled by two terminals...

Viet Nam has 90 million population and air travel is huge business....ticket is cheap in our context...I flew to haiphong l(2 hrs flight) ast year and my 2 way ticket was less than S$ 100...

all about poor planning...sell more vehicles to jam the roads....then plan to see how to ease congestion...classic case...
