I am making a quickie trip from the 29th (arriving 1115 am) and departing on the 31st about midday.

Hope we can catch up. Where will you be staying. I booked at the Swiss Chalet but they were FULL so I am now booked at the Apartelle which I am told is very decent.

You'll miss Martini who's there right now but will be leaving on 26th.

Apartelle is fine and while you are there, I would like to suggest that you check out another one which is located nearby; on top of JJ Supermarket for your next trip. It have a good and reasonably priced eatery on the rooftop garden. Its the highest point in Balibago. Nice evening view while you partake your dinner.
As for myself, I'll be staying at Starr's home.

Awesome thread with lotsa interesting info. I've read it back to back as well as the relevant one(s) on the other more 'worldly' board. Still trying to decide between AC or Hatyai for the next mongering trip, have not been to either.

Definitely not a first-timer to Thailand, just havent P4P'd in Hatyai before. I'm leaning towards AC due to your inspiring prose and coz I'm a PI virgin!!

I know numerous discussions out there compare Pattaya vs. AC and I don't wish to be tiresome by asking your opinion, but any tips/suggestions would be great! Thinking of a mid-September trip and staying at the Central Park or their sister hotel, which would hopefully be completed by then (?) Someone wrote a FR somewhere (can't remember how I got to that link) on how to escape BFs. Is it advisable for a first-timer to play this game?

Been a lurker all this while, never mongered much all this while, save the occasional trips abroad (which happens quite infrequently.... )

Will get my first chance on an overseas trip in a long time, and will be heading to the Philippines for the first time, and will be heading out to AC on this Friday. Gathered as much info as I can absorb from the thread... hopefully won't be getting involved in too much school fees this time, but doubt it, since I'm quite a newbie...)

Sassina, I will be making a day trip to Manila tomorrow and as such will not be able to see you as I will be back to AC very late in the night. Text me when you land anyway and we will meet up on Sunday. (Starr is giving me time-off ).
Today is the only sunhine day since I landed here on Monday in the tail end of Typhoon Gloria. Continuous heavy torrential rain and flood everywhere BUT its all ok now.

Is clark airport just beside AC? if yes, then i could jus take tigerair to AC, and out of the airport/checkpoint would be wonderland? read abt ur post on buses n lots of abbrev, so kinda confusing for 1st timer me and thanks to ur FRs.... was gladly distracted, but after reading.... think back..hey!! i'm suppose to learn practical guide in cheonging AC... kekekee....
