Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Taki was poor so was Origi.. I don't see Taki making it to the 1st eleven for Pool, his ball control n touches were dismal. Looked more like a headless chix running around. His form was nowhere near his days @ his former Austrian club. Origi was clumsy, slow n seemed unfit. Shaq was the only bright spark n Jota was average.

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Tough watch but we got there in the end. That Danish team was in it for a rough and tumble.
Our fringe players really need more time on the pitch. That said it didn't get much better when the front 3 came on . Shaqiri had a decent second half and TAA as well. Our central defenders are falling apart though. Now we need Matip to come back and stay fit for 4 weeks or so and then he can have another injury by which time Fabinho will return Even after being rubbish we are still top of the table. Atalanta v Ajax drawing was a good result for us. With some luck we can beat Atalanta next and put our group to bed early so that we can concentrate on the EPL. Finally hope Salah is ok. Saw him hobbling off at the end. We move on to West Ham next which will be another tough one. Really hope to see the return of Thiago at the very least. |

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Fab's hamstring injury not as bad as originally thought! Likely he'll only be out for the next 3 matches! Come Jan, Pool definitely has to bring in another CB if not we'll see Hendo partnering Milner as CBs.

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
I predict draw game or even LFC lose as the Hammers have very speedy attackers..... LFC defenders have no one to match their speed.

Quote:
Antonio is injured with hamstring injury. Plus normally speedy attackers don't track back to defend. We will expose the gaps left behind.

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Tough game tonight, not helped by missing 3 of our 4 first team CBs. Klopp even talking about using Hendo, Gini, Milly and perhaps even Robbo Really CB man
Just have to hope Rhys or Nat whomever Klopp picks rises to the occasion. Thank goodness Ali is back in goal at least. Gomez needs to step up as well. Antonio being out does help us a bit although Haller is quite good. Perhaps outscoring West Ham might be the best way out under the circumstances. Offence is the best form of defence. Pity Thiago still looks unlikely to start but I much rather he be fit for Atlanta and City games. On the injury list, I really don't know what to say about Keita. Same goes for Matip and Ox. Very unfortunate because all 3 could be very useful to us this season. But what's the use when they are rarely available? Might as well pack them off next summer and find replacements who are less tofu and more dependable. |

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
What actually happened to Keita? Thought he tested negative for covid-19 n he was back with the team. He did not even feature in the past few matches n how could he be injured again?

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
West Ham is playing like David Moyes 's Everton. Well organised. If we sub off Firmino for Jota after the 65th min, we are in for a chance to win
