Latest news from Shenzhen. Just went to shenzhen yesterday nite with some HK friends. Before going, they already told me that gongan this week is clamping down on prostituition activities in Shenzhen starting from monday 25/7/05. This is temporary and maybe last a week or so, who knows?

Heard that this clamping down is a local govt effort as some high official went to nite clubs in shenzhen and was beaten up by thugs. So maybe a revenge of the local govt on these activities in shenzhen for a while (not long as you know the China or local govt is good at wayang kulit).

Sianz, take cab to Queen's spa. Go to backlane of xiangxi cun to take a look, also all bbs closed shop. sianz, go straight to queen's spa.

Also beside tangguo there is a big restaurant, good food at cheap prices. This place is at di tan nan men (地潭南门）。Tell taxi driver, they know where. From Grand Hyatt at nite (Not rush hour) it will only take about 20 mins.

There are quite a no. of things to do in beijing depending on what you want to do there. haha.. Another place is the ghost street or gui jie, got lots of makan that opens until very late at nite. Taxi driver will know how to go. Also if you are into food, fang zhuang got a lot of makan places, take a cab and call them to drive you around that area and select the restaurant you want to makan. This is at the southern part of beijing.

July is hot hot hot in beijing. Drink more water. If you are into nature, can go to xiangshan. Xiangshan (香山）。Xiangshan is at haidian qu but actually it is just beside shijing shan qu. Fast and quick way to avoid traffic jams is to take train from Grand Hyatt to ping guo yuan (苹果园）and take a cab from there. Fast quick and economical to avoid city traffic jams which is terrible. Mother of all jams occurs daily in Beijing.

If under the mid summer, you want to enjoy hot spring to get hotter in mid summer, (but actually go in autumn or winter it will be great), then just take a cab to 九华山庄（http://www.jiuhua.com.cn/). Nice place to be to have some traditional massages and herbal dip and hot spring dip. There is also a mud dip. This place is at changping, xiao tang shan.

ANother place also got hotspring in haidian, that is wen quan (温泉）。This is the name of the place, got a few hotsprings but quite far and unlu. Changping also because it is a suburbs of beijing liaoz.

There are many many things to do in beijing. I had regularly visited beijing for over a decade at least once a year. http://www.visitbeijing.com.cn/
