When I was there last year, I didnt find any gals that fit your description: fair, young, pretty. Mostly the women I saw were older (late 20's-30), although fair skin, not very pretty. I find that cant compare to BKK or Geylang fishbowls. Also its a matter of luck: some bros seem to be able to walk in and find nice gals and others cant. Just a matter of timing and luck, still the overall quantity of gals much less than BKK and Geylang so odds are against you from the start--IMO only. ![]() PT |

Re: Chiangmai
Sorry, forgot to mention.
LT rates varies with looks (your looks and hers of course) FL from discos could charge anywhere from 1000b to 3000bahts but most will fall somewhere in between (1500-2000). Nicer, younger =2000-3000b, uglier ones =1000 Bar gals/go go bars are about same as above but dont forget with these, there is the extra charges for "bar fines"-and these also varies from 250b-500b extra. Raya adds to boom in boutiques
Report from Bangkok Post dated Thursday 23 February 2006 :-
Raya adds to boom in boutiques Raya Heritage Co, a subsidiary of Premier Group, plans to launch its renovated boutique hotel, Tamarind Village, in Chiang Mai in November this year targetting an 80% occupancy rate for 2007. Paul Van Frank, the hotel's chief operating officer said the hotel owner, the Premier Group, had chosen Chiang Mai as the second province to operate its hotels as it was a hot destination with interesting tourist spots. Its first location was Krabi where it operates the Rayavadee Resort. It took over Tamarind Village from its former owners in May 2005. The hotel, located on a two-rai plot in the heart of Chiang Mai city, is currently under renovation and is expected to be complete at the end of October. It has 40 rooms and had an occupancy rate of 92% since the takeover. About 75% of its guests are European, 10% American, 5% Singaporean, 5% from Hong Kong, 4% Thai and 1% Japanese. It charges between 5,000-14,000 baht per night. Mr Frank said in 2004, four million tourists arrived in Chiang Mai, 50% of whom were from overseas. There are also frequent daily direct flights from Bangkok and other countries in the region to carry tourists to the province. ''We are upgrading the hotel from three stars to four and a half stars as Chiang Mai is now a top-end destination, since Shangri-la and The Oriental have managed hotels in the province. Five new boutique hotels have also opened in Chiang Mai,'' he said. Mr Frank added that the expenditure of tourists in Chiang Mai rises by seven percent each year. The hotel will focus on niche markets. Last year, the company had roadshows in Japan, Russia, the UK and Germany. It plans to have more activities in Hong Kong, Korea, the US, Europe and Australia. It will further penetrate the US to attain 15% of its guests from this market, up from 10%. He added that the hotel would provide tourist programmes to differentiate itself from others, that would include a culture route to visit Thai families, cooking tour and samlor tour. Currently, there are 240 hotels in Chiang Mai which have an average occupancy rate of 50%. The average stay is two nights per person. |
