So I can understand what bro cateyes means by "afraid of boredom & loneliness"....

Hope I didn't bore the bros here!! me outta here....

Indeed I shared the sentiments with u! Be it the fact that we all have GF or 'House Companion' here, the issue on boredom or loneliness still do creep into us once in awhile.......especially when one is down & out on a foreign land like China with the kind of absurb culture & mentality of the locals that one has to face daily!

Ultimately, being in a foreign land striving it out without family by one's side is a damn lousy feeling. I've been here for coming 5 years which many atimes I've asked myself when would I want to leave this place?! Yet giving back thoughts with regards to reality, the bad economy back in homeland (my industry)....I simply have no other choice but to grit my teeth and persever on again....

I've shed tears many atimes but still have chose to stay on till now, no that I like it here but rather for the opportunities that this place has to offer.

End of the day, it's mind over body in ultimate perseverance to go on in such an environment.

I also its a good idea to get all bros to pay up first before the session to prevent such things from happening... of course the person handling the money muct be trusted by everyone....

I can also understand why you are sticking out there bro.... just like any expats, we are well paid and cared for in terms of food & accomodations, but when we go back home, all these benefits disappeared and you will still be doing the same job, but same money and no special benefits.....

Loneliness is a problem and a very real problem that can happen to all of us... yes, thats the price we pay for the added perks being here. However I still believe if we stick it out, eventually we & our families in the future will be the ones who benefits!

Dear Bro PTR, how are you? I know I have stayed low for a good while due to intensive work schedule. Have just returned from a 2 week biz trip within China and will be returning to SG this Sun. I still miss our previous tea drinking session. I have put on a fair bit of weight due to excessive drinking, be it for biz or leisure. Thus, trying to cut down on alcohol and increase my consumption of tea leaves. See that you are retiring from the cheong scene, if you allow me, I would suggest that retirement is not quite an option, rather, you may want to be even more selective in your choice of cheonging. Anyway, I will be returning to SH by mid July, please let me know if there is a possibility to catch up then and I would love share my recent FR during my biz trip.

It's always a pleasure to read your posts... I've been lying low for a while, due to some personal reasons... When would you be coming over to Shanghai again? I definitely would wanna meet up with you...

We all have our share of free loaders, and bros who are more than generous... It has always been my principle to not sponge on those bros, and I try to make it a point to make sure I buy the next meal or something, not saying that I'm calculative, but I feel that I should pay back in one way or another for their generosity. After all, we all work hard for our money, and in no way do they owe it to me to give me a treat.
