Nope... that didn't occur. This I'm 100% sure...

If your trainer did tell you that.. he's wrong.

Than you may ask, why then it is necessary to have first aid courses. Well, that's the requirement of the MOM for worksites to ensure that there are sufficient people around trained to at least provide the first help correctly before the medical help comes..

I didn't have to pay... and my friends in Thailand (lawyers, doctors included) confirmed that I'm correct.

Not all other people wrong.. only those who say you will be charged if you help an injured person..

The law (in most countries) say you cannot move a dead body (and everything else around it). No where is there a law that I know of says you can't help an injured person.

But believe what you want... no point arguing. As far as I know, this will be used by people who doesn't want to, or are afraid to help.

I have to disagree with you here..... in Singapore the purpose of obtaining a 1st Aid Certification is an insurance requirement for workmen coverage. Likewise it acts as an indemnity clause for those that conduct training/courses/sports etc. I remember my examiner clearly telling us and re-emphazing to us to call 995.

Some bros changed by opinion of Baccara last night when they bf 2 lovies at 2.5k. They are fun lovely ladies to hang out with, too bad I was already at my limit
2.5k is for LT or ST? and what is the BF?

I was a medic in Army and took first aid class outside too. Never heard that you can not help an injured person.

Even if it is against the law to help, I wouldn't stop myself from saving a life. The way I look at it, even if I pay fine or go to jail, saving a human life is worth it.

Re: Pattaya

Do a search for good samaritan law/act. There's no such law/act in a lot of asia countries. Of cos what you choose to do is up to u.

Even lawyers and doctors have their specialised area. You can't really expect a divorce specialised lawyer to give you the correct act/law of other fields off hand.

Just like there are STD specialists who choose to go BB, would you follow?

Care to enlighten us what is the samaritan law/act about? Never heard of it before

Of course it is our choice to do anything..... but we will have to bear the consequences.

It's a law to protect those who help strangers with some legal immunity in time of crisis. Currently to my knowledge if a problem arised when you help someone, it's based on the judge to decide what legal liabilities you have.

Example. If you see someone hit by a car, there's on coming vechicle, so you dragged the person to the side. While the intention is good, but the victim might have injured his neck. The movement cause the victim to die.

The family members will likely blame you for the death. You'll likely be taken in for questioning. The legal proceedings will continue from there.

If it's a country with samaritan law, the people who tries to help would not have as much (or no) legal liabilities as the ones without.

On the above case i would think of ways to block the incoming vehicle and call the emergency helpline ASAP. If it's not in Singapore, I won't even go too near to the victim even if I have certain amount of first aid knowledge. When in panic mood, who knows I can apply what I learn correctly. Also if anything goes wrong, the emotion the surrounding bypassers have for their own countrymen shouldn't be underestimated.

Those are based on my legal understanding, so it could be right or wrong. My advise is still be smart when you are abroad. Most of the time you may end up facing the problem yourself when problem arised
