There is no call booking fee, just a minimum charge of 25k...
One more thing to note: Silvercabs can pick you up from anywhere, whereas there are many places that Bluebird cabs cannot pick u up from, eg all the major shopping centers, all the ferry terminals, etc..
Thanks for info bro. Up my humble 10 rep pts in appreciation.
Anyway, just to share my taxi experience.
Luckily only 1 bad experience. Happened a few years ago.
Negotiate 40k from Nagoya to Harbor Bay....driver (private) reluctantly agree.
This was after haggling chicken n duck talk for like 7-8 mins.
When reach the place.....driver wanted 50k.
Not happy but since reach liao n got ferry to catch...give 50k to him.
That extra 10k is only slightly more than SGD1...but kind of left sour feeling coz he just on the spot increase like that.
Later I think about it, most likely the driver was disappointed to see quite an empty Harbour Bay area when reach...so likely will return back to Nagoya without any passengers....so ask for 10k more lor.
That experience kind of put me off going back to BTM for some time....
and later on....when I did....I always go to BTM Centre...for Arrival n Departure.
Hav seen & heard cases where supir drops their tamu halfway during the rides too. What can the passenger do? Report police lor but can do so only after walk back from sekupang to Nagoya, since i believe there wnt be many cabs to flag along an expressway.
Report police? In Indo? Hehehe...not when the police is on the Taxi driver's side. I still remember during army time, when we were out at the open sea,we saw with our own eyes that the Pirates and the Coastal Police out at the Indo sea were the same people,hehehe...(we actually enter indo sea by accident) day time they are police, night time they are the pirates,...unless i am in group,i believe i am still too junior to drop at Sekupang/Nongsa Ferry terminal if my destination is going to be at Nagoya ,yes...even if it means free,hehehe...
I go to Batam to seek enjoyment, not to take the risk to face unforeseen problems,hehehe...

Agreed with you, dont bully others but dont get bullied either.
Then again, what if they have full intend to bully me? I believe i can only LL let them bully if the location is in the middle of an expressway or somewhere with LESS HUMAN TRAFFIC...what can i ultimately do? Report to the police? And then call my father, mother or my 18th generation ancestors to come and bail me? LOL....yes,i must say this forefront,it wont happen to everyone, maybe it would likely be an isolated case with one in a thousand chance but there is always a "what if" factor there...i ask myself,do i want to take the "what if" risk by travelling in/from less populated place? Nope,i dont...hehehe...like i say before,i go to Batam to relax and enjoy, not to risk the one in thousand fail.
This can also happen in any part of the world. My solution is,play in where it is safest,be humble,be polite, dont be an asshole and dont show off that you are super rich (in my perspective, all Sillyporean in Batam are super rich in indo term).
Travelling from Sekupang to NED takes about 60mins to go and come back according to some website's average travelling timing. The last time i went, took about 50 mins to go and come back. Definitely not a place to choose for my ferry drop off point,hehehe...even if its free, unless i planned to stay in Tempat Senang Resort Spa & Restaurant in one of my future planned trip,hehehe...

Tempat Senang is one of the MUST GO resort in Batam. I like their Tree house theme... It's quite fun especially when bonking on the swinging bed... =D

Aiya... I just came back last week, otherwise will be keen to join you...
Bro, there's at least 3 money changer opposite Farmosa. Do you have the name of the shop?
Try the Money Changer with Fat Girl/s (i think its what uncle fishingman meant). White sign board with big words "MONEY CHANGER" there, they open 24 hrs but dont go after 10pm,definitely the worst rates.
Then again,at this hour if you go any money changer opp Formosa, also can get 9900/SGD,just that fishingman's one may be a little higher than 9900/SGD.
Aleast I know i not the cheapskate type and i enjoy my last trip with my friends!
Me too,i also enjoyed my last group trip. Now half way thru writing my summary...lol.
My last trip aims for the best for least,at its safest.
Hope you enjoy your next trip.

One man's meat can be another man's poison. It really depends on what you are looking for in a massage. The ambience ,the skill, the fetish or their "special special" skillssss...

Thank you for sharing your experience. Nothing to laugh, nothing to criticize,we are here to learn from each other. My dad used to tell me,i may be stupid for the next 5 - 10 mins (or for a while) if i trial and make mistakes but i can be forever clever thereafter if i am willing to learn. If i pretend to know-it-all and be too proud to accept pointers or learn from others, only then will i be Forever Stupid.

Honest indeed he is. My friends (ex. colleagues) used to book rooms from him from Sillypore by phone, but since he no longer works there anymore and they have since use emails to make room booking. Lots of new staffs in Formosa nowaday over the last few months in different shifts but there will always be some familiar faces at the reception.
