Credit to VVD for a good debut performance. Commanding and good aerial presence which are the qualities we needed and lacked.

The defence is only 1/3 sorted out because both Robertson and VVD had a good game. Robertson got his body heavily involved and when he improves his crossing he will nail down the left back spot.

The other 1/3 will be solved when we sign a new quality goal keeper. I hope Oblak will be our 1st choice and hopefully he wants to move to Anfield too.

The final 1/3 will depend on how Matip or Lovren improve to partner VVD while Gomez or AA cover the right back slot firmly in the absence of Clyne.

Disappointed with Can as he shouted back at some Liverpool fans during the match. His performance was poor and maybe he had slowed down because he decided to leave.

We need to sell Coutinho soon and I feel we have a great power in doing it our way. Should not be bullied by Barcelona and cave in.

FA is too biased with referees that was why managers had complaints on the quality of BPL referees, further by no English referee in coming WC. All 3 men in black must be blinded to see a heavy push from behind.

Klopp should use Gomez as CB to partner VVD.
I think the backline of Robertson, VVD, Gomez, Alexander T is the ideal combo Klopp is looking for.

Without Couti, Pool's attacking play was flat n 1 dimensional. Very obvious after last night's match against Everton where Pool could not score from open play.
Without Couti, Salah n Firmino would not be so effective already!

I feel the £146 million transfer fee agreed is cheap.

It is surely a huge disappointment that Coutinho wishes to leave immediately but such transfers are inevitability.

As a fan, I am keen to observe how Liverpool response both on the field and in the transfer market.

fully agree, Coutinho could be more gentleman and leave at the end of the season. Liverpool was the one who gave him chance when Inter Milan did not. hope he don't do well at once leaving Pool.

hope Pool reinvest the money smartly! come to think of it, we should raid FCB for their younger players.
