Not an expert psychologist or anything but just my 2 cents on this topic. Most of the experiences I had were just based on FLs, so the scope might be slightly narrower.

Not gonna discuss whether commercial sex or any variations of it alike is wrong or right, but ultimately as a guy, we all have the fundamental urge of having sex, and since that need is not fulfilled, we find other outlets of meeting that need. This forum and whatever services available is just one of the ways.

My personal experience is somewhat similar to yours, I totalled double digits of FLs visited in half a year. Did I regret it? Yes and No.

Yes because looking back, if I amounted the total amount spend of around slightly exceeding $1000. I could have spent it on other more productive stuff.

No, because of the experience it gave me. Honestly, during that period of time which I averaged around 1 FL a week, compared to wanking, I felt a lot more manly and more masculine, with a lot more testosterone flowing in my blood. I felt myself having more energy and I feel more connected to myself.

Nevertheless, I did get addicted and I did manage to eventually stop. I chanced upon a self-improvement youtuber and he shared a really inspiring idea which really clicked with me, regarding masturbation. That is that masturbation is not the disease but rather the symptom. The real disease is actually your mental health. So even if you embark on a 1000 day no fap streak, you will still eventually relapse, if your mental health does not improve. No Fap isnt a walk in the park, but it definitely isnt impossible.

Not gonna sound too preachy here, but for me my addiction to FLs at that time was somewhat equivalent to masturbation. So the moment I took steps to improve my mental health and adjust my focus with all my excess sexual energy on more productive goals. Eventually the need went away for a good amount of time. Eventually after this streak I did come back to FLs again, but is it really that bad of a thing? In my opinion, not really that much.

FLing now in my current perspective is just a means to fulfil an unmet need. Is it the ideal way to fulfil my need? Probably not. Id like it if I could organically meet a hot girl who is DTF, but given my current situation, I know that I probably cant attract the level of girls I want to attract, but that is ok, since I am trying to work on it now. So to fulfil my need of having sex with an attractive girl, FLing is a pretty decent option at the moment, even though I understand the high risk it has to your sexual health. So I just do it in moderation.

Other samsters here probably also came here because they have an unfulfilled need which can arise from a lot of different circumstances as well. Are the services here the most ideal means of meeting their need, maybe not? I dont know so I cant speak for everyone, but it sure is not for me la at least. The services here is just a medium, ultimately it is just a medium, ideally nothing more, nothing less. When better methods are available to us then naturally we will stop using this method. But what if the newer method suddenly becomes unavailable? Then we have no choice to come back to the previous methods we were using, if we want to get the job done.

No matter how rational we want to be or strive to be, it is easy for it to be overpowered by our fundamental desire to want to have sex. Just stay safe, do the necessary precautionary measures. Whatever silly decisions we made is already done, just dont think too much about it and learn the most you can from it.

Analysing whether FLing is good or bad in my opinion is not the main focus, so my reply here may not be entirely accurate or logical. If it gets the job done and it is acceptable to you then swee lor.

You said you don't have money to go for therapy, but you have money to book FLs and go for overseas trips? You could have gone for multiple sessions for every FL you booked.
