Check with her carefully about the 30000baht, if its for her to show immigration she got money to come here and spend, then fine and good. Cos sometimes these ICA officers ask to see wallet got money or not then decide give you 14 or 1 month visa.

But then again.. reading your thread... might be con job la. How long you know her and how well you know her to be asking this kind of moiney from you for what purpose? Perhaps you can talk to her and listen to her reasons lor... If it take you 30000 to know someone and you think its worth it, then do it. You say she is your gf, is she WL or non WL? You should know your gf better then all of us dude.

So far never heard got to write letter to invite her down one. My gf comes here so many times without any letter or much money in waller. I just put like 10000baht in her wallet, just in case officer ask.. so far no ask and so far so good... get 1 month visa most of the time.

There is no particular procedure.. straight forward and simple like all other nearby countires.. produce passport, pumped, go. No letter as far as I know.

But it's a must to book the return air tickets as well. Somehow over at BKK international airport, the ticketing officer will insist on seeing the return air tickets if not they may not let your thai gf to board the flight.

If you want to try her but in a safe way.
Ask her to travel south to meet you in JB.

Let me share my experience.

a) Return ticket - a MUST
b) Bht20000 - this is a declaration on Thai disembarkation card. the officer can ask to check if she has that amt of money, but so far i have not heard of any such case
c) Name reference + accomodation address - S'pore side immigration officer will insist on this

You might want to understand the nature of Thai girls, below are my personal findings but it might not be applicable to all Thai girls:

1) extremely poor in telling lies

2) extremely lacking in general knowledge

3) if u treat her as GF, she expect u to support her family; she will try to get as much as she can from you, but if u refuse, or just give a little, she will not turn sour; she will continue to be nice to you and use the persuasive approach; most likely she will work harder to please u on bed; such is the sweet nature of Thai girls she wants your money, she is not ashame about it, but she will not arm-twist you to get your money... in a way she will plead with you (Thai girls get a lot of pressure from their family to get money from foreign BF)

4) however, be warned.. it is very very hard to shake her off. even if u treat her like dirt she will still stick to you... haiz... it is heart-breaking to dump a Thai girl cos they are so sweet... but eventually u will come to realise u cannot be with a Thai girl unless she is really the "intellectual and respectable" type... think carefully before u start a r/s with a Thai girl

5) Thai girls can be very insensible, no discipline and no financial planning - that's y many haf to become FLs

6) Thai girls like to show off to their friends that they are financially successful or have a foreign BF

Anyway, to the main point, my girlfriend has actually been to singapore twice. She be going back in a week's time. Will she be able to come back to singapore in a week's time? I am actually going up to bangkok for a short holiday and then both of us would be coming back together. If both of us walk thru immigration, would the officer require her still to show money? Most probably wont i guess. But i would like to make sure with more experienced bros here. Thanks alot.

Well, I just did that recently. I came back with my gf.

She went ahead in the Q. There wasn't any questions asked at all. But I guess it was also because the ticket she held also had my name and my name is pretty Singaporean.

I've been booking return flights from BKK. It's cheaper this way. Not much of a tip for the old foggies.

damage: 3x5000baht=15000baht. if dun send her back only 10000baht.
5000baht already on slightly expensive side....can get tickets at around 3500baht during promotion.

like other bro said....just need a return ticket n she can fly here. no need visa for thai to come sg. at most immigration may ask reason for coming here...where she staying. unlikely to even check if she has enough money to sponsor herself here.

Just be careful, she might have previous immgration records in Singapore and barred from entering for a period of time.

My colleague went to jail all becos he sponsored his Thai girlfriend during her visit to Singapore. He got to know her in Bangkok and used to fly to BKK over weekends to meet her. It was his birthday and he told her to visit him in Singapore. She agreed and flew here.

Apparently, she used to worked as a WL here, was caught, send back and barred from entering Singapore. She got a new passport under a different name and flew here on social pass. She didn't disclose any of this to my colleague. Nearing the end of the 14 days period, my colleague went with her to ICA to extend her visit. As she doesn't understand English, my colleague filled up the form. On the form, there's a question which ask whether she has been barred from entering the country before and as she had told my colleague that this is her first visit here, he simply put No, signed on it as a Sponsor and submitted the form.

Within minutes of the processing her application, our very efficient ICA found out the truth and she was apprenhended, locked up and charged in court.
My poor colleague was also charged and sentenced to 5 weeks.
