In VN there are people of Khmer decent living at the border of Cambodia, you can see a pronounced evidence of their live in places like Dalat. The people in the delta South are different from those in the north. Tribal people in the northern mountainous region bordering China comes from Tibet and do not assimilate with the rest of Vietnam. My ex gf's grandfather speak Thai but the generation after him are prevented from asserting their Thai sub culture.

I admit there maybe a propensity for the girl to go astray but why the condescending attitude of the 'they and us'. We should avoid the über-man mentality. Boss I protest, again.

In the context of today MERS scare, I have a story to tell about 2 countries:

When SAR was detected at a Vietnamese hospital, the French doctors did the right thing, immediately issolating themselves by doing a lock down on their institution. In so doing, they gave themselves a death sentence but saved the VN from further damage.

In Sg, it was a different story. Although the health authorities knew about the VN episode, their hesitation at the onset of the cases causes unnecessary deaths.

I was fortunate enough to hear this first hand from a town hall meeting during the crisis year and it left a scar in the back of my mind.

Just apply a visa for her. You can do it for her via ICA website.

Need a photo of her. and so on.

Usually, if she is clear from any immigration offences, she will be allowed to come in for 2 weeks.

Of cos, it is best you give her your details, of your name, HP, address and so on. If she kena asked. She can answer, likely to be able to pass without any problems.

Those who are turn back are usually with problems in the past. ICA don't turn back people with no good reasons. If that happens, ask her if she had any records. You can trust ICA more than someone supposedly introduced to you by someone.
