It's not just Singapore Government, but every developed country is always wary of people from 3rd world countries. Many vietnamese gals come into Singapore to work illegally as hookers/bar gals and created lots of problem. Vietnamese guys come in to meddle with other illegal areas. Vietnamese gals married into Singapore created lots of social problems too. You cannot blame Singapore government for discriminating against Vietnamese after all the problems vietnamese created in Singapore. But of course, there are good vietnamese tourists, businessman and students that come into Singapore for good and legal purposes. Immigration find it difficult to differentiate between these those coming in to create problems and those coming in for legal business.

To be able to show money at customs - lots of Viet gals borrow money to show the singapore customs
Show hotel booking - in order to earn money, they can easily book the hotel room and cancel it later, the most they are charged just 1 night's fee
Speak english - lots of Viet gals that work in bars in Singapore illegally can also speak english.

I know of a Singapore man who married a Viet gal who used to work in the bars in Singapore. The spouse's family members, from elder sisters to niece who just turned 21, also comes in Singapore regularly to work illegally in bars/discos. Whole family of hookers.

The thing here is `probability'. Not all Viets are in Singapore for the wrong reason, but the probability is quite high.

Lastly ica got right to reject still. But I find interesting that if gal come via Jetstar and vn airlines less rejection. Tiger is the one ica reject the most as a lot of gals love tiger. Or their boss love to book it.

only idiots will be guarantor to WLs...

ICA will advise a boy friend to be guarantor if the VB already been rejected entry...the application as guarantor is subject to ICA approval and no such thing as confirmed...the application will exposed the applicant with full details...even if one time approval subsequent....if the applicant may be a different person then ICA had better picture of what this gal is doing in singapore...

of course...if gal happened to commit any criminal offence then the guarantor had a case to answer...

if the applicant is a married man and the gal is not related to the wife then for sure the application will be rejected...and future the gal will surely be rejected entry..

No lar, i just ask out of curiousity because have 1 friend whose vn gf always cannot enter singapore, refused entry at custom and turn back to vn or sometimes allow by ICA to stay 1 week in singapore only, i always puzzled

From what i know my friend vn gf is not WL. But i have hear from 1 viet WL in sg said before...like what u mention...can only take vn airlines, because if take tiger airway will sure get block at custom.
