It is called Hangout hotel if I'm not wrong. Owned by the boss of Cathay Group. However a note about this hotel is that they discourage hourly rate.

If you call in you'd probably not be able to get hourly booking. The boss of Cathay is trying to make it a clean backpackers hotel.

VIP Hotel Balmorah Rd like going home feeling. But must drive there and nice English style set lunch at only $6.80 but hotel is slightly higher than Fragrance & 81.

If you drive, try Mount Elizabeth hotel. It's on the left of Mount E, you turn left instead of right to Mount E hospital.

I second Changi Hotel, cos the carpark and checkin counter for short time is in the carpark. You then proceed to the room vide a back door away from the main entrance. The minus is the quality of the room. If improve would be ideal.

Located at the end of Mt Elizabeth (beside York Hotel). Though considered discreet as its near to orchard road yet at a quiet corner, might not be suitable for short time. The hotel does not have transit stay. Rate for walk-in customer is about $170 - $190 per night.
Furthermore the occupancy rate is rather high, usually tourist from package tour..

i'm not sure if my choice is the most discreet... but i always go there for the short times...

its h81 lavender near jln besar std. i find it discreet enuf due to the following reasons: -

1. there are not too many people around the area. there is a small carpark at the x-junction, opposite the stadium.
2. there is a small alley/walkway from the carpark to the hotel... oso nobody will see.
3. from the alley.. enter the hotel from a side/back door.. i think it's meant to be a service entrance.

been there 2 times..... the rooms are a bit run down.... would suggest H81 at lavender.... same charges as aliwal S$20 for 2 hrs
