I was caught 110kmph and I thought TP where got work so early. No choice lesson learnt and drive carefully in future.

Pay special attention to point no.9
New traffic demerits point effective 1.6.2013

1. Beating red lights -6points & fined 100
2. Drink /drive -12 points, 5 years ban from driving
3. No seat belt, -3points & fined 100
4. Front passenger no buckle seat belt, -1 point, fined 50.
5. Using phone while driving, -3pts, fine 100.
6. Smoking while driving, -1 pt, fine 100.
7. Intentionally cover number plate, -12pts, maximum fine.
8. Speeding, -6 points
9. Front passenger below 14yrs old, -6 pts, fined 300.

TP reduce penalty for beating red lights?? it was 12 points + $180 I think, kena once few years ago, I know its 12points but cant remember how much is the fine. Where is the source for this change of penalty? even 14yrs old cant sit infront? I thought when its <1.3m in height?

Doing 100-110kph on a 70kph stretch has no excuse, really. The expressways were only 90kph maybe 100 legally without risking a ticket.

They indeed reduced demerit points for beating traffic as I got 2 tickets for last year along upp serangoon road.

Last month got speeding at almost 100km/h after kpe nicoll highway exit towards raffles city. They hide at the overhead bridge.

Almost same period as they are need $$$.

Friend of mine just got suspended for 6 months for using mobile phone while driving (his 2nd offence). Phone also got confiscated by TP.
