better not to tell them name of place (esp if it is MP). tell them to go to nearest hotel or building and then walk to the MP.. or else U may think U could end up in a sandwich position with U fcuking the MP gal for a big price and the taxi driver "fcuking" your backside

very true abt the commission...
one tuk tuk brought me to Cupidy and captain quote me 3000-3500b for fish tank gal and 4000b for so-called model. And the quality is absolutely unfcukable quality....in my valuation, the fish tank gals are worth at most 1500b while the so-called model is at most 1800-2000.
So you can imagine they can charging abt double with tuktuk ard

I once called taxi driver (not tuktuk) by roadside from Sukhumvit to Chao Phraya1. Along the way, taxi driver did not say much and did not push any MP at all....He dropped me at CP1 and i tot he had left. Captain named me big price for fishtank gal 3500b, model for 4500b. Quality was as bad as Cupidy... I told captain that fishtank in CP4 is 1600-1800b while model is 2000-2500b and started walking out. He tried to stop me and say he will check first. Saw him go out and discuss with taxi driver and other captain.... I just walked out while taxi driver tried to ask me to go another place
The Chao Phraya MP must have some solid arrangement with those taxi drivers

From what i know, these Tuk Tuk or cabbies have certain arrangment with not only these MP but other places eg makan places or jewellery shops whereby if they bring tourists to them and the tourists at least go around to look see look see for say 5 minutes then the cabbies/Tuk Tuk will get some gasoline/petrol coupon.

IMO ... juts dun listen to them when u hopped in ....
tell them straight where u want to go and that's it ...

once i encounter a taxi driver who tell me about this MPs or than MPs .. and he even got the guts to drive me there ...
but i did not get out of the cab and told him i want to go to only this place ... eventually he lan lan and drive me there ... with a long face ..

finally got touch down back to malaysia last nite at 11.45 pm last nite due to the air asia delayed (bugger )...
