for the past yrs when i am in CP during CNY, i always prepared many ang pows of different amount to give away ....

Agreed with CK here.....been doing that for years one week before CNY and they will appreciate no matter what the amount in the ang pows.

Bro Ironpole, I believe the expectations in Wenchang where you are going will be quite different from CP. Using the mm sitting fee as benchmark, CP will be 2-3 times more. Therefore, IMHO, 10Yuan in red packets will be appreciated by most, and perhaps 20-30 for the mms in Wenchang. But I am sure you will be more generous with mm who makes you a very happy man.

Hmm ok thanks for the advice. But their sitting fee is 300rmb. The additional 100 is extra. So still 10/20rmb for red packet?
