Actually it's shaving and sometimes waxing that will cause inflammation due to the ingrown hair. If shaved or waxed, some of the tiny hair sometimes can't grow out and get stuck inside the skin, this is where the inflammation will occur.

IPL will not have this problem as it almost stop the regrowing of your hair by 90%, the balance 10% of the regrown hair is soft n fine like baby hair, almost to the point you don't feel it and unless you see it very closely then you wil see the strains of the fine hair (even if you take closed up pixm you might not see it too, tried & tested ).
