My last straw on local's Spa scene, what is your take?

I'm done with them, stopped visiting them many months ago, 90 min can cost 130 for oil rub plus roaming fee they will ask 120 or more, some viet asking 150, for 250 i rather jerk off myself save the money and buy air ticket to go somehwere else like TW

Locally, it's not worth it.
Assuming you're paying $150 for it (massage + hj), convert to RM, you're getting RM 517.

With RM 517, you can easily get 2 round of massage + full package.

Recent one who I encountered, 2x b as got bbbj but demand extra b for her to go for massage. Almost $250 liao, better save up for a massage chair n DIY. Regular one also ask for 100 on top of 140 massage, better not to go anymore liao.

To add on, those fj online also fake. Less than 30 mins, you are asked to leave. Mostly massage will worth than those shops one. $ hard to come, go to those poor service, forget it.

Anyway, with JB as neighbour, and how strong the Sing currency is, across the causeway will always be a better deal, be it spa, ktv or anything else.
Just don't depend on web pics, only disappointment there.

She have hopped around many shops from the $45 per hour till the $89 per hour shop she is in now. So this fateful day in May I visited her, as usual i took up the $89 package as this is the shop policy and after finishing the SOP, I took out 2 blues from my wallet and prepare to tip her, this is when she told me now every ML in the same shop have set the market price to $150 so you have to tip me $150 from now onwards. I lan lan took out another $50 and passed it to her.

6 years of supporting her and yet this is what she did to me. How much money I have spent on her during these period of 6 years. Told my friend about it and he laughed and jio me to venture the Spas in JB with him. I was much happier, the MLs in JB can really play and less money minded. More Nationalities to choose from, Thai, Vietnamese, Indonesians. 1 hour of aromatherapy body oil massage cost only RM75, The tips for the MLs for HJ with autoroam depending on chemistry is a mere RM50. The total damage adds up is just RM125. RM125 is equivalent to SGD$36 based on the latest currency conversion. I can get the same thing for SGD$36 in JB compared to the SGD$239 ($89+$150tips) I get in Singapore.

In conclusion, that sums up my thoughts of the worrying local Spa scene currently. I hope the MLs in Singapore can wake up their bloody idea. Bros, thank you for reading, whether you agree with me or not, you can add in your inputs and thoughts below.

U must be some glutton for punishment if you insist on going to the same ML in Sin all the time. JB is much cheaper and Also Batam. Make an overnight trip of it. Your savings in massage with fuck, and from shopping, and makan is already several times what u spend on hotels there.

Don't frequent spas - but my analysis is that MLs are responding to less frequent client visits, spas underpaying them their base salaries by raising the pass-through rates to end consumer.

The spas effectively rent out the space to them, take almost the entire cut from the entrance fees and then the MLs have to charge on top for it to make sense.

Some MLs may be willing to charge lower for older customers, but there's a lot of peer pressure where they gang together to avoid undercutting each other. They reason that there's strength in numbers.

This is a dying business because at some point, it makes far more sense to just go to a non-Spa ML where you get the full package for less. You'll get some customers paying a bit of premium for a nicer "environment". So enjoy it while it lasts - it'll no longer be as good as it used to be. Maybe you'll get pockets of low-rent spaces outside central regions where these pressures are less intense.
