From pp returning to spore, at spore airport we bought more then $100 worth of liquor from DFS and were given this free voucher valid for 2 persons to go batam centre and return sg but must pay sea tax. Voucher valid until end of 2018.

Hi bro sohbuckkong, you have to pay sea tax of $21 + 65k idr, which is roughly S$27.50 for the return ticket from Habourfront to Batam Centre. The normal ticket fares from Habourfront to Batam Centre is S$32 for seniors. Thus, you could save about S$4.50 per ticket.
Even more, for those not in the senior category.

Yes, save 4.50 for the ticket. There is another part with the hotel stay in a 5 star hotel at fix price

Re: Cambodia Phnom Penh Nightlife Discussion

I know that we make light hearted jokes about cheapo ang mohs stretching their dollar in third world countries.

However I foresee in time to come we Singaporeans will be made fun of as cheapos retiring in third world countries as Singapore's cost of living will escalate to ang moh standard (if not already) in the near future especially with that useless joker in charge.

Ang mo attitude is I don't care much,i lead my life to the fullest, ask them go North korea maybe they also think is fun to go

You got a good point there.

The vast majority with little wealth are probably too timid to risk retiring in some third world countries whilst the rich will stay put and are so wealthy until they can easily leave 6-7 figures inheritance for their children.

So I guess those "cheapo" Singaporeans like us who contemplate to consider retiring in third world countries are very small in numbers.

Due to past experience I would be very wary of anything that has China fingerprints on it.
They are very extreme and ambitious.
The reason why I have been so active on this thread lately is I have spotted the growing trend led by PRC operators from your many informative posts!

Due to the less conducive situation back home the Chinese vice operators basically have to look overseas for opportunities and corrupted countries run by a dictator is a perfect paradise for them.
These Chinese opportunists will milk for what it's worth.

Cambodia needs plenty of foreign investments so a lot of matters they can overlook for now until the country progresses to a certain level then things may perhaps change but that is easily decades away.

From the way I see it the Chinese vice operators are trying to build a new Dongguan paradise but even better with casinos!
Very strategic place for PRC tourists to fly in via short haul flights from Yunnan, Hainan and Hong Kong.

Nonetheless they are the best of the best when it comes to luxurious vice entertainment.
Maybe one day we can see flower street with 1000 girls at a Cambodia KTV!
Also hope one day I can get to enjoy the infamous Dongguan 24 Steps sauna service in Cambodia at a reasonable price!
Hahaha please do inform me if it's available!

yes i have been in sihanoukville for the past 6 to 7 years already, trying to 骗口饭吃, recently ah tiong exploded in the past 2 years but it wont last long as 习大大will curb the outflow of money from china, there is actually a law banning activities involving overseas gambling so its just whether 习大大 want to act on it or not, my guess is, once hainan island is approved for gambling licenses, he will rein them all in, like now all chinese companies are "encouraged" to list back in mainland, chinese are not stupid, 肥水不流外人田, we have all been taught that since young

Yes Mr. Xi may act quiet but when he strikes it's all killer moves!
The vice crackdown on Dongguan in 2014 is one good example.
Until now still cannot recover.

If you have a China bank account there is an annual quota on the amount that you can withdraw from an overseas ATM machine.

上有政策,下有对策,back to SHV, so now almost all cheap charlies angmohs hv left SHV, lots of bars hv closed and many bargirls left, so left with lots of 洗浴场 disguise as leisure clubs for $128, 168USD per pop, so it is totally not worth it to visit SHV anymore
