Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
If we close out the tie against Hoffenheim tomorrow night, then I think we maybe more likely to see some promising transfer activity afterall by close of business on the 31st

Latest news! Brazilian samba.
Philippe Coutinho begins backtracking after push for Barcelona move fails Jack Lusby 22 August 2017 The 25-year-old had set his sights on a move to the Nou Camp, handing in a transfer request on the eve of the Premier League campaign. Coutinho has not featured for the Reds since the 3-0 win over Bayern Munich in pre-season, with an alleged back injury keeping him out of competitive action. Barcelona saw all three of their offers for the Brazilian rejected out of hand, with the latest a derisory package worth £82.2 million up front, and a further £32 million in add-ons. Now, according to multiple reports, the Spanish side have “belatedly accepted” that “no sum of money would have prompted a change of heart” from the Reds’ hierarchy. And with Coutinho telling Liverpool “he didn’t want to play for the club again,” following counsel from his agent, Kia Joorabchian, the No. 10 finds himself in a difficult position. Brazilian publication Estadao write that that Barcelona “manipulated” the playmaker into forcing a move. While sources close to Coutinho are said to have insisted that “he never had the will to not play for Liverpool but had to follow his representatives’ instructions.” You can almost hear the vehicle reversing. Coutinho is expected to come back into the fold after the international break, when he will join Tite’s Brazil squad for clashes with Ecuador (September 1) and Colombia (September 5). Having previously served as the model professional, Coutinho’s stance this summer has been surprising, and that he was seemingly unable to think for himself is a damning indictment of his character. On a wider scale, it highlights the lack of autonomy in the modern footballer’s makeup. Coutinho has, however, continued to report to Melwood for ‘treatment’ throughout his push for a departure. And the Echo report that “Liverpool believe that he will accept his fate, knuckle down and commit himself fully to the cause.” Speaking after Saturday’s 1-0 win at home to Crystal Palace, Jurgen Klopp hinted that he would consider reintegrating Coutinho “when there is no other decision possible anymore.” The player’s agitation for a move could well affect his manager’s trust, though, with Klopp previously reported to have been “personally let down” by Coutinho’s efforts to leave. But it is difficult to ignore a talent of the calibre of Coutinho, and the hope will be that he finds a new level of form when he is called back into the Reds setup.

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Now that FSG is not selling Coutinho , will Klopp bring him back into the team ? I wonder if Liverpool will be getting any new players in ? As far as I am concern this summer transfer is a flop for Liverpool and Klopp . Only managed to sign in 3 new players .

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Any fans who thinks Coutinho wants to stay must be a fool.
It is clear he wants to leave and has burnt the bridge with the club. Never believe what nonsense you read from the internet. Use your common sense. Anyway I hope for a good game in the Champions League. Important game with Arsenal during the weekend too.

Hot! News just in!
Barcelona preparing fourth £138m bid for Liverpool's Philippe Coutinho By Sky Sports News Last Updated: 23/08/17 8:08am Barcelona are preparing a fourth bid for Liverpool's Philippe Coutinho that could rise to £138m. Sky Sports News understands that contrary to reports suggesting Barcelona and Coutinho are giving up hope of securing a move before the summer window closes, the Catalan club are preparing to test Liverpool's resolve once more with an initial payment of £101m up front - with £37m in bonuses. One source in Spain has told Sky Sports News: "Philippe has never been more determined to leave Liverpool. "To suggest Barca are thinking of backing out and calling it a day, is absolute nonsense. "They're all in now; their cards are on the table and they'll never give up the fight." The £37m in add-ons are understood to be linked to Champions League appearances and would be expected to be easily achievable, were he to move to the Nou Camp.

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Looks like Barca is in trouble.
Big fiasco over Neymar, that lawsuit probably ain't going to fly, plus latest photos of Neymar together with some Barca players seems to show the finger at Barca. Barca fans not happy at the high price the club just paid for Spurs failure Paulinho and also supposed €150m bid for Dortmund's Dembele. But it get's worse because it now seems like Barca lied when it claimed Messi had signed on the dotted line with regards to his new contract. Apparently not true and in the next window transfer in January, Messi shall become a free agent. So, Coutinho can leave for Barca but not on the cheap. None of this £35-40m "add-ons" shit that shall probably never materialise and no 5 year payment plan either. Barca have the money from the Neymar sale, so if they really want Coutinho they are going to have to pay up in full, £130m take it or leave it. That is the price Barca have to pay for disrupting our season. |

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
We should use Coutinho to teach Barcelona a painfully lesson. From stealing Mascherano to playing dirty games when signing Suarez and now Coutinho.
All these "big" clubs think they can walk around and divert the players mind with money because they have backing of banks or oil companies. I guess the middle east owners showed these "big" clubs who is the real boss. Having said that I want us to sign quality players. We need to push on hard for the BPL title which I can say many fans are desperate for. |
