actually we dont realise that this is only benteke first season with liverpool & coming from another team playing totally different style would mean he needs time to adapt to liverpool playing style (we should blame rodgers & the transfer commitee instead for buying him)...also he is only used sparringly by klopp which makes it even harder for him to adapt fast & losing confidence.....but i do see him improving over the the last few games just that he is still missing open chances not befitting of his hefty transfer fees....nevertheless i still feel he is a quality striker as he is still liverpool leading scorer in the epl & next season we will see the real benteke.............YNWA

Actually I would blame the transfer committee for buying the wrong type of players for Liverpool . Most of the time the manager got no say on such matters .

Really when Benteke came on as a sub in the last few minutes he didn't make any impact at all unlike Origi . Benteke had got experience playing in BPL and any intelligent player would know how Liverpool played their football. I just felt that Liverpool may have wasted 32.5 million pounds .

But I am glad to see all the injured players coming back and making an instant impact . How Liverpool had really missed them . Lets hope all the players remain injury free and make final push. It was really a delight watch the team play .

Hope the new player can settle down at Anfield .

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

Pretty boring game. Reds attack surprisingly not so hot and creative notwithstanding the 'big 3' all being fielded upfront. Midfield 3 of Milner, Can and Henderson not inspiring either.

Another surprise, Kolo was probably Liverpool's best player on the night. Mignolet also played pretty well and made a fine save or two.

Looks like a tough big week ahead for the Reds with the Augsburg return followed three days later by the visit to Wembley. Hope the entire squad can stay fit, healthy and sharp.

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

Augsburg is 14th in the German League and fighting relegation so they did not field 2 key players as they have an important match this weekend.
They also lost their key striker Bobadilla 23 minutes into the match.
Yet they were able to hold Liverpool although Klopp field a very strong team.

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

Pool need to win in the return leg next week.A score draw will knock them out of the competition.
Problem with pool is they are consistently inconsistent! 1 game hot n next game cold. They might lose to Ausberg @home next week n beat Mcity in the final 3 days later. Very unpredictable! Fans agony.

Totally agree Actually can see that Klopp was very disappointed with the result. I can understand why he was going for a win when he put up a strong squad . So that if they had won , he could have rested some senior players for the return leg who will be fresh for the Wembley showdown 3 days later. The players have only themselves to blame. I hope the game will not go into extra time. The only player who stood out for the Reds is Kolo . The rest all had below par performance. Really shake head.

Dun think he needs to be disappointed, guess he should know his current so called strong team is still a below par team. An away draw is a good result for Liverpool.

The current Liverpool team needs to thanks BR. Liverpool currently depends too much on 1 midfielder to make magic and the rest are just normal players.... if I am the opponent, mark Coutinho and Liverpool scoring will be almost nil.

DS played like shit during the last Villa game. Everyone is happy as he scored but it was because Villa defence are worse than Liverpool. Fortunately, DS is better than CB...

All my Liverpool friends have given up for this season. We will be fortunate to stay on 1st half of the table. Nevertheless, we still support Liverpool, 1 of the greatest team.

Daniel played even worse against Augsburg. He fluffed up at least one clear goal chance in the 2nd half. But saying that, you got to consider that he has played less than 10 competitive matches the whole of this season and only very recently just returned to competitive action.

A lot now depending on Daniel's form and fitness in next week's two massive games.

As for Benteke, I have given up on him already. Pity because I still think he is a good striker, just not suited to Liverpool's system of play, exactly what his ex-manager Tim Sherwood warned him about.

CB is good but dunno why recently Liverpool made the same mistake over n over again by buying Caroll, Mario n now CB. We were paying top money for nothing. Min, we need a striker and a commanding midfielder, JH cmi.

Ah Gong and my buddies at the old age home feels that Liverpool cannot qualify for the Champions League. This season is purely for the new manager to get to know his team better. By now the new manager should have a good idea who he can keep and who he can let go.
