Yes, i totally agree with you on the mentality of the kiasu cinas. They are willing to sell friendship for the right price$$$. Thats why they prosper everywhere. Even when you deal with the PRC, the latter may be chinese but believe me when come to business, $ & cents rules!

But do you know how come only 3% of chinese population in Indonesia and yet the cinas can actually control the WHOLE economy? Malaysia @40% of chinese population and majority cinas too control the economy. How come huh? I think you know the answers. I am not siding the cinas or condemning the non cinas but COMPLACENT (tidak apa attitude) rules in these two muslim ( no offence to my muslims brudders here) countries.

We may be fortunate (for now) to live, work and stay in Sickapore... but I can tell you few years down the road, I am not so optimistic like you. Judging from the influx of the FXXX foreign talent thats creeping into sickapore by the thousands, one wonders whether our rice bowls are at stake! Anyway, MERRY CHRISTMAS to u too.

Here's what I got from the other forum on Rashinta Hotel...


Here's what happened....

On Wednesday 23rd December dozens of uniformed police descended upon the hotel and forcibly took possession of it on behalf of the bank/new owner. They consficated all the keys, ordered the staff not to accept any new bookings and then spent the next three days drinking the hotel dry and eating whatever food was left. For the first couple of days they were sitting round the swimming pool sunning themsleves, swimming and using the rooms until the staff switched off the pool water purifier. The pool is now turning green and going dirty. The police have left rubbish everywhere and the staff have refused to clean up after them. The best one was on Boxing Day, December 26, at 8 AM there was a uniformed policemen out cold lying in his own vomit on the bottom step in front of the Rashinta hotel main door. The staff had to step over him to enter the hotel. A lot of the staff are still coming in every day waiting for somebody to tell them where they stand. They are mostly sitting round playing cards and watching TV. There are actually still a couple of guests in the hotel who are hanging onto their rooms until the end of the month, since the rooms were paid in advance and the staff, to their credit, are continuing to take care of them. The old owner owner of the hotel sent his daughter down to the hotel on the night before the raid and she cleared out all the cash in the safe so the staff are left with no funds and nobody has told them yet where they stand... Most of the police have gone now and the whole pace is starting to resemble a ghost town...
