Glad that Liverpool managed to win. Glad that Mario scored his goal for Liverpool. No matter what a win is a win. 3 points are all that matters.

If not for their generous penalty giveaway in injury time, this game could easily have been a draw and that would be an awful start to our CL campaign.

We definitely need to play better in order to make it out of group stage.

all players will have some kind of injury each season...Diego Costa also injured with hamstring problem...Yaya Toure is out injured...all depends the club can cope with injuries and still managed a result with the squad...

I watched Pool's game last weekend...Pool played well but lack the luck to score...we could have scored and easily won the game....but goes down on record we lost the game to Aston Villa...

BR knew if he dun have a good season he may be sacked...so let us wait and see...

as a Liverpool supporter...all we can do is hope for the best...

When BR was hired to manage Liverpool his contractual obligations were :-
A) Balance the books and turn the red to black;
B) Qualify for the Champions League; and
C) Win the League title within 3 years.

He managed to successfully complete A & B within 2 years.... and going by that initial contract he has to deliver the title by this season.
However BR re-negotiated his contract at the start of this season so I am not sure whether the objectives remain the same or if they had changed.

Much more work need to be done for the entire team. Hopefully the new players brought in will settle down fast. Anyways Liverpool need to continue picking up points along the way. They can't afford to drop any. It is still early days yet.

Definitely BR is under more pressure this season than last season. But don't forget he is again rebuilding the team after having sold off LS. I am sure the owners want BR to win some trophies , which trophy we do not know and of course to remain in the CL as that will alone will bring in more revenue for Liverpool.

Dun bet on it...... RM this season has been horrible. Their teamwork is gone and they are a pale shadow compared to last season's RM team. In the CL match it was Basel that made them look good..... if RM had been playing a quality team they would have been the ones thrashed instead.

TBH i don't see this happening, would dearly love to be proven wrong though!

Just making the top 4 to qualify for next season's CL appears to be a real uphill battle.

Would be nice to win a cup though, CL perhaps?!
