I have to admit that Allen was terrible in his first year. But I have seen vast improvements lately in his game.He is trying to fight his way back into the first team.
Lets bid for Nemanja Matic from chelski...
Heard he is damn good.

I think it will be some time before our defence can work together and be solid again like those Hypia/Henchoz days.
I'd like to see mamadou sakho paired together with lovren.

Quite true that would have been tough. Looks like City got the short straw amongst all the EPL clubs yet again, although with its current strength, depth and balance think it should still get through.
All in, Reds seem to have a fair draw, hopefully it shall progress with few hiccups along the way. Looking forward to the return of those magical week day European nights at Anfield!

I think it's a 'good' time to play Real, arguably our main stumbling block to progress beyond group stage.
So far, preseason games n all, Real have not yet played with the kind of fearsome swagger we hv seen them in the past. Maybe their team hv not yet gelled cos of the World Cup players n new acquisitions. They are still largely reliant on CR7. If we could fix up this guy properly we could get 2 good results agt them!

While many look at the glamour boys of RM like CR7 or GB..... it is Xabi Alonso that makes them tick running the show as their playmaker. With him gone now..... RM have problem trying to find back their rhythm now.

Yeah. Last season it was their midfield combination of Alonso & AD Maria providing most of the ammunition for Ronaldo & Bale. This season Alonso has gone to Bayern and AD Maria to Man U so I think Real Madrid will struggle this season. Furthermore the team is trying to accommodate James Rodriguez and adjusting their playing style to suit him.

I say play 3 at the back (Sakho, Lovren & Skrtel) and do away with the fullbacks as they have been a defensive liability to the team. They seem more suited to attacking down the flanks than defending our rear so let's utilise them as wingbacks instead.

Sidetrack abit here...manure game against Burnley earlier was terrible...LVH must be worried...very worried now..he came with a huge reputation...but it shows experience dont really count when you managed a England club
The look on fuckerson face is awesome too

Boring football from Man Utd.... pumped ball up and hoping someone can score from there. I thought liverpool defense is bad, Man Utd is worse... lucky they were against Burnley.

Sounds interesting, then would fit Sturridge together with Balotelli in a 3-5-2 but then how to include the likes of Lallana, Sterling and Markovic in at the sametime? ?
