According to John Dykes, 31 goals in 38 matches in a single season by Alan Shearer.

love the way they set up each other's goal... brilliant pass and brilliant finish...

I think they will enjoy the partnership...

sterling has been superb since he fought back into the 1st team, his awareness and final ball has improved a lot since last season...

Cristiano Ronaldo also has 31 goals in 38 matches during the 07/08 season.
But the official Premier league stats credit Alan Shearer with 36 in 1995 (actually should be 34 only as include 2 own goals which was given to Shearer).

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

Great game of end to end goals

Stoke was really committed to their course but alas Pools had the final result

Great goals by Suarez

3 points and 4th position

Yeah. I don't think Suarez will leave if we can get into the CL. Suarez is really enjoying how we play. His 2nd goal is just created for him. He was just waiting for a perfect pass from Sturridge and when it came, bang! Simple finish. Damn shiok to watch that goal over and over again. SAS!

Some of our players are worrying though. Gerrard didn't have a good game. His passes are somewhat off. Toure is so slow and easy to turn. Skrtel is going to cost us a penalty with his defending. Some referees are going to keep an eye on Skrtel soon. In the first half, BR was telling Jordan Henderson not to run forward to attack because that will create a gap in midfield and expose Gerrard and Lucas.

If England don't bring Sterling to the World Cup, I think Roy Hodgson is just plain dumb. Sterling is a small guy who can hold a ball against bigger opponents. He is fast and defensively strong. Sterling-Sturridge will combine well for England.

I was watching Newcastle-Man City. I think Chelsea, Man City and sometimes Arsenal are just grinding out results. Man City isn't playing that well at all. They are really lucky to win at Newcastle after the referee cancelled out a good goal from Newcastle. Samir Nazri is down with a badly injured knee. I think we can catch up and win the league if we can sign 1-2 good players now.

The commentators from Sky Sports mentioned that Gerrard had a great game...doing his job...

win ugly is good...this is what champions are made of...how many times Man U grind out results when they were on a run of titles...

we took 6 points from Stoke this season...well done lads...

A very good write-up by famous sports writer Richard Jolly which sums up very well this morning's game.

A potential banana skin for Liverpool..... although AV is having a losing streak.... last night's game vs Arsenal showed they are getting their form back. Arsenal were lucky they got 2 early goals as they could easily have lost the game last night. With injured players coming back and Bentake starting to perform again.... Liverpool should be wary of AV.
