Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Very disappointed with the second half performance.
It is clear Rodgers wanted to give Kelly a runout but with Mackay planning to apply pressure and attack with the introduction of Kim and Campbell, shaking up the defense is the last thing which needs to be done. Liverpool should have kept a clean sheet even if the team failed to score more than 3 goals. |

Anyone understood what Sterling said during the post-match interview? I only heard mumbling.

Maybe he was trying to say he needs to stop dribbling too much and pass the damn ball.

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Next round of matches on Boxing Day should be interesting as historical stats show that the team that is in number one position after Boxing Day results have gone on to win the title that same season on most occasions.
I hope to see Liverpool in the number one spot. |

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
I've been reading a lot of Liverpool articles. Share 2 interesting points with you guys. A bit chim at first but once you understand, it makes sense.
Point 1: Bought Andy Carroll at $35M and sold him for $15M(+Loan fees from 1 season). Was it a disaster? Most people say we lost about $20M from the deal. Think about it. We sold Torres for $50M, then used $35M to buy Andy Carroll. We added $15M to our transfer budget. We sold Andy Carroll for $15M and bought Sturridge for $12M. We added $3M to our transfer budget too. Is Sturridge better than Torres? Definitely. In a way, our club has recovered from the mistake of buying Andy Carroll. Point 2: Still thinking of assembling the squad to accumulate the most points in a season? The new idea is not to get the most points for the team but to be the team with the most points at the end of the season. Got slight difference. To get the most points for the team is to have a team that wins as many games as you can. Very 1 dimensional. To be the team with the most points, you have to loan out good (not developing) players to other BPL teams. When Everton and Liverpool drew, Lulaku scored 2 goals. He took 2 points off Liverpool and that helps his parent club Chelsea. Whichever top 4 team Lulaku or Moses score against, it will help Chelsea be the club with the most points at the end of the season. Are Chelsea's strikers Torres, Ba and Eto better than Lulaku? Definitely not. So there might be an underlying reason why rich clubs send good players out on loan. They can buy talent to win as many games as they can. They can also buy talent to take as many points off their competitors as they can. To do that, the players Chelsea loan out should be spread across different BPL clubs. So if Everton face Man City and Liverpool face Arsenal on the same weekend and Moses and Lulaku scores to draw both games, what it means is that Everton, Man City, Liverpool and Arsenal only get 1 point that weekend. If Chelsea wins, then Moses and Lulaku would have helped Chelsea. Chim right but makes sense.

the match against Man City...key player to watch out is Yaya Toure...hopefully Kolo Toure returns to mark him...if we can quiet him down then all Man City moves will break down...or he party too much during Xmas and too tired to play...

Kolo Toure to mark Yaya Toure??? i don't see that happening, not when this is a critical match for Pool to win.
my choice is Sakho to take on Yaya. good that Aguero and Zabaleta are both out of action. |
