I believe this lady used to be a Khmer Court singer who escaped during the war in Kambodia. Many of our cultures can be lost. So the people with her tried to encourage her to sing the songs of her childhood. Hoping it can recorded for us. Songs are not just for pleasure but oral rendering.. A easier way to remember large amount of 'data'. You can see she is reaching into her Long term memory, no different from us accessing computer memory. I find the vid hard to watch because the young generation cannot appreciate the value of old and once disappear will be gone forever. This is my sadness.
